Ed found himself sitting on the porch, watching his family play in the front yard. He couldn’t have been happier. It’s been about 5 years(I’m guessing) since he had gotten his arm back and Al got his body. He now had a daughter and a son, Izzy and Lyson, as well as a beautiful wife and best friend, Winry. His brother Al had recently gotten engaged to his girlfriend May and we’re coming over for dinner.

“Ed! They’re here!”, shouted Winry. Ed had come out of deep thought and saw his brother and May. “Uncle Al! Aunt May!”, Lyson yelled,“ You’re here!”. The boy ran towards his Uncle and was scooped up into his arms with excitement. Winry giggled. She loved how excited Lyson got, he reminded her of a certain defensive blonde. Surprisingly, Ed had gotten up from his seat on the porch and picked up his daughter, making his way to Al with his wife following him.

“It’s good to see you squirt!” Al said.“…” “Um… Lyson?”. “Uh oh, looks like someone is getting the silent treatment!”, Ed snickers. “Huh?! What did I say?!”, Al cried. Winry comes up behind Ed,“ Honestly Al. It’s Edward’s son. You called him short. What did you expect? Haha”. “I’M NOT SHORT!”, called two very similar voices.

Once dinner was finished, May helped Winry clean up the table while Ed and Al put the kids to bed. May and Al had to leave soon, before it became dark. Once the kids were asleep, Ed and Al went outside for a walk. Once they were far enough from the house, they decided to take a detour. Winry and May didn’t want them going as much but once wouldn’t hurt, now would it?

The brothers later found themselves at the cemetery.“…I miss them so much.”“ Me too Al.” The brothers began to tear up. They needn’t say anything more. They both shared the same thought.

“…At least they’re together again, right brother?”

So like the absolute crackhead I am, I am writing an elricest fic in Old English. Behold: God's greatest failure.

I have the smallest headcanon for this ship...

Someone asking Ed and Al who is more dominant in the relationship.

Ed's first reaction is to blush, and turn to the side saying something like "It's none of your damn business!"

Al just to be polite would tell the truth, "O-Oh, it's not by much but it's me, Brother just doesn't like talking about this sort of thing with others."

But the truth being that Al liked being more dominant because he enjoys the way Ed genuinely is happy and truthful to his feelings in the few moments of privacy they have together, no need for Ed to hide what he really feels.

Ed enjoys Al taking the lead for many reasons from not wanting to hurt him and wanting Al to have all the experiences he never got in the armor but one at the very top is that Ed can now be genuinely happy that he's with Al, something Al is equally happy about.
