The next chapter of The Lon Lon Home for Heroes should be up sometime next week! … Which means I now have the delightful dilemma of not being sure which unfinished fic/AU to write for after that.🤣 I’ll decide the most based on my mood, but I’d like to do an interest check, too! Links (hehehe, Links) to each of the fics/series are below the poll you need some context!
Which fic/series continuation of mine are you most interested in seeing first?
The Lon Lon Home for Heroes—Twilight’s first chapter
Linked Seas—Aftermath chapter with Legend getting letters from Fable and Hilda

At last, the next part of Eternal Empire is out! A shortie, but with plenty of action.
Btw, EE is my orignal LoZ AU featuring good guy/great dad Ganondorf, an evil Zelda, and a female/slightly-undead-in-a-fun-way Link! As with all my fics/AUs, I love asks, feel free to send ‘em!

Summary:
Ganondorf couldn’t tell if the flawless night comforted or mocked him as he rode to his doom. No clouds blocked his view of the sky. The cold on the wind made the stars shine clearer and brighter than he’d seen, even in the desert. No sign of the moon.
Fitting, that Demise’s heir would die on a dark night like this.
Tell me something you love about Eternal Empire! That is what it's called right? I can't remember the name ahsbahejwhah)
Sorry it took me so long to answer this! It’s been a week.😅 I love Eternal Empire, it’s my writing baby (one of them lol)!
Hmm, just one thing … I’ve really enjoyed playing around with Gerudo culture and its effect on someone growing up, especially for Ganondorf and Lin. I mean, it’s a society completely made up of women (except Ganondorf, of course) in an incredibly hostile desert. There are going to be some major cultural differences in every part of life. I imagine growing up in a tribe of fierce female warriors had a big impact on Ganondorf, and I try to reflect that in EE—he’s a great fighter, he’s willing to make tough choices to save the people he loves, but he’s also very nurturing and in tune with his emotions. And without the Triforce of Power/Demise’s Curse muddling up his thoughts and intentions, those softer traits become more evident and safer for him to express.
TL;DR: Eternal Empire Ganondorf is a very good Girl Dad ™️. And his two daughters 1000% have him wrapped around their little fingers.
Bonus that I haven’t talked much about: both Fi AND Ghirahim will be in EE! And they have a love-hate enemies to siblings dynamic that I adore. Ghirahim is confused and having existential crises 90% of the time.🤣
Feel free to send an ask for any of the characters in my Linked Seas (mer au of Linked Universe) or Eternal Empire (LoZ au with good guy Ganondorf, female Link, and evil Zelda) AUs to answer!
If you’re not current (hehe, current) with the latest Linked Seas fics, please let me know where you’re at/where you don’t want spoilers from and the characters will answer accordingly.
Same for Eternal Empire, but I’ll generally assume your asks are from when Lin is older, right before her adventure starts unless you specify.
I'm always so obsessed with Good Guy Ganondorf, pls tell us more about at that AU
Eeep! Thanks for the ask! Eternal Empire’s a lot of fun for me.
The premise is that EE Zelda is *very* aware of the Cycle with the Hero, Princess, and Ganon. She started out wanting to find a way to stop it once and for all, but it twisted into a desire/need for control. If she can just get the entire Triforce, she can erase Hyrule—and by extension, Demise’s Curse—from existence and remake a perfect world where everyone does exactly what she wants. No war, no suffering, no thought, no choice. Perfect, right?😁😈
Except that she was only born with the Wisdom piece of the Triforce. And the Gerudo have been very tight-lipped about any males that may or may not have been born to them—even when she surprise visits. And literally no one can find the Hero. For decades.
Ganondorf, meanwhile, would LOVE to get rid of his Triforce of Power. It clouds his judgement and makes him aggressive. He’s terrified he’ll be just like his predecessors, which is only made worse by the fact that he has some of their memories (mostly ones involving previous Heroes). The Hyrulean army has been encroaching on Gerudo lands and skirmishing with his forces. It’s only getting worse, and war is inevitable. To save his people, Ganondorf goes out of hiding and faces Zelda, offering his life in exchange for peace and freedom for the Gerudo. Zelda straight-up yanks the Triforce of Power out of him, and assumes he died. (He nearly did.)
Ganondorf escapes the castle, but not before discovering a little girl in the dungeons with the Triforce of Courage on her hand. She looks like she’s been there a while. Zelda has been trying to steal Courage from the little hero through any means necessary, but Courage (and the Hero) are stubborn. But with two thirds of the Triforce, Zelda has accidentally killed the Hero in her bid to steal Courage. For Reasons That Will Be Revealed and Cause Problems Later, the Hero comes back to life. Ganondorf takes the kid and saves her newly-restored life.
… And now he’s got a kid. Who may or may not be destined to destroy him someday no matter what he does.
Ganondorf feels unprepared and unqualified for any of this.🤣
And that’s kind of a summary of the prologue/setup for the rest of the story!
needed a good writing warmup today, so I thought I’d ramble/make the official announcement for my first ao3 series
Eternal Empire is my loz au where the 3 main players in Demise’s curse go “off script” and do the opposite of what they’re supposed to. Enjoy the dust jacket description for the first story, coming to ao3 in the next several days!
Ganondorf hates how the Triforce of Power twists his mind. He only wants peace for the Gerudo. He’s hid most of his life in the desert in case his existence starts another war with Hyrule. But when Hylian troops assemble a full-scale assault on his people despite his best efforts, he races to broker a treaty with Queen Zelda. If he must sacrifice his life to save those he loves, so be it …
Zelda will stop at nothing to prevent another Curse Cycle, even if it means taking the entire Triforce for herself. If she becomes an immortal queen and rewrites the world to her whims in the process, well, who’s to stop her? Hyrule will prosper as never before under her guiding hand. She gained the Triforce of Wisdom at birth. Power rides toward her. It will soon be hers, she can feel it. The one sticking spot is Courage …
The Hero has never known anything but a cell, the only light shining from a triangle on the back of her hand. Sometimes the Scary Lady with a matching mark comes, screams for a while, and hurts the Hero. It’s getting worse. The Hero’s felt her body less and less the past few weeks, and now she hears voices from the blue-fire people who float through walls. She’s glad to finally understand the nice one who sits by her—a big man with a crown like Scary Lady’s—but he cries even more than before. What does he mean about something coming she must hold on for …
Three souls, bound by curse and destiny, set themselves on a collision course with each other. The fallout will change the course of Hyrule’s future and doom her people to an Eternal Empire.
Fi and Ghirahim are that pair of siblings that absolutely hated each other for agessss and now they're kinda decent to each other, I guess
(Source: my twin and I despised each other for most of our lives until the end of high school/beginning of college)
you’re so right! That’s actually how I characterize them in Eternal Empire lol
if you’d like to know a little more about their ee versions…
far as the au goes, it’s been 10,000 years—give or take a few millennia—since Fi and Ghirahim last saw each other (the final ss battle against Demise). Fi’s been mostly dormant during that time. Ghirahim has not.😈 He’s had a long time to think about his life, and while he’s not exactly repentant, he is feeling unsure about his place in the universe. Then the Hero shows up, and suddenly Ghirahim’s being dual wielded next to Fi at the hands of a kid who is the daughter of Demise’s heir.
also he and Fi are the only ones who know a terrible secret about what the Hero is but Fi won’t let him say anything
so, yeah. He and Fi BOTH have to learn to rely on each other to keep Lin (ee Link, female) and themselves safe. It’s tense, but I’m super excited for the banter they’ll have when they loosen up some (I put a little below the cut if you’d like to read)
thanks for giving me an excuse to ramble about two of my favs! So glad you and your twin have a better relationship now, too!
Fi: Mistress, there is a 73% chance of you breaking at least one bone when you fall from that cliff. I advise walking around.
Ghirahim: It’s a 72% chance. Have your algorithms corrupted that much while you were asleep?
Fi: The exact percentage is 72.674%. Rounding up increases efficiency and avoids nonsensical conversations.
Ghirahim: Nonsensical? Which one of us dove headfirst into living gloom to protect her last master? How did that work out for you, again?
Lin, halfway up a cliff in the rain when this conversation started: Um, guys? Can we please talk about the “when” I fall? Not “if”?
Ghirahim: Oh, yes, you’re definitely going to fall. But being right is more important to me.
*Ghirahim is the first to react and save Lin when she does, in fact, fall*
Ghirahim, helping splint Lin’s ankle: Not one word, Fi.
Fi: I have not said anything.
Ghirahim: You were thinking it.
Lin: Next time, would one of you please warn me about slipping before I climb in the rain? I’m from the desert, I don’t know this stuff.
Fi: My apologies, mistress, I assumed you knew.
Ghirahim: And I assumed you were an idiot like your forbearers. *Fi death glare* … My apologies as well.
