You feel a hand cup your shoulder. A looming presence that towered over you from behind, but not in a way that is trying to intimidate you - more so - to ease the tension that you didn’t realize was built up in your shoulder blades.
It was Dan Heng. He stand right behind you. Hands rest upon your shoulders. Fingers tracing your skin that was visible. Flexing his fingers gently as a tingly path was formed against your senititve skin. It felt nice, & it was almost enough to make you close your eyes to rest your weary eyes a bit.
“It’s late… you should get some rest.” He said. His hands now sliding to the sides of your upper arms.
“I kinda… tried that already.”
You blushed. Feeling embarrassed that you admitted to him that you were struggling to sleep. Especially when you pestered him about getting good sleep when he stay up working on the data bank.
“Is it one of those nights?” His voice was cautious but gentle. Waiting for you to speak to give the okay.
Knew he would catch you lying, you nodded. Staring deep into the reflection that show from the glass that place as a barrier between you & the outside of space. The stars dance amongst the purple gradient sea. A sight that you’ve seen so many times before, yet made you feel calm & safe.
Maybe that’s why you came to the parlor car. To have at least some calm that could possibly do something to ease you into sleep.
A hum was admitted from the dark haired hair man. His arms now wrapped around your waist. Making you stiff a bit followed by a flutter.
“If you want, you can stay the night in my room.” He nuzzled against your neck, lips pressed against the base gently. “At least you’ll have someone that could make sleep easier.”
You felt a slight shiver from how his lips graze the nape of your neck. Catching your breath in your throat. You knew very well he was just trying to comfort you then tease you. But the feeling of his lips against your skin send a warm feeling in your stomach.
Thinking rationally despite your inner panic of Dan Heng’s closeness, having someone close to you as you sleep would help. Dan Heng was the person you always come to when needed to ease your mind when troubled.
Even when shy, he knew how to make you feel at ease & comfortable.
Swallowing the nervousness that seep out of your skin, you nodded. Hoping that he wouldn’t notice the light shivers that he made from his actions.
You kinda had a feeling he notice & knew he possibly enjoy watching you get sensitive under his touch. It was tempting to do something that could make him shudder. But you’ll do that in the morning.
He pulls away from you, taking your hand in his, pulling you with him to his room. Once you reach your destination, he brings you inside. The mechanical door hums as it automatically opens its way to his room.
You two take rest on his bed. Comfortably under the blankets as you two embrace each other.
“Comfortable?” He asked. A hand gently rubbing your back to soothe you.
“Mhm…”
Your voice was soft, & almost, inaudible. Eyes half lidded that blinked slowly. Sleep about ready to take you.
Dan Heng can tell you were about to sleep. He press a kiss to your temple.
“I’ll see you when you wake up. Goodnight.”
You hummed. Nuzzling closer.
“Dan Heng?”
“Yes?”
Right at that moment, you fell asleep with your final words for the night.
“I love you.”
Dan Heng smiles, staying still with you as those words resonate deep within in his heart.
“I love you too.”
