Someday I want to write a Vio/Shadow fic with this.

I've actually got a snippet on my phone that I wrote ages ago... if I ever do write a full fic, this might not even end up being in it, but here:

"You... are a very bad actor." Shadow scowls. "Well I don't see you even trying." There's a glint in Vio's eye, a flash of "challenge accepted." It's gone a moment later, as Vio's face... softens. His posture shifts - not dramatically, he's not right up in Shadow's face - but he's leaning toward him now, something playful in the tilt of his head, something comfortable in the slope of his shoulders. He looks... happy. Content. He reaches out to link his fingers through Shadow's - just that, nothing more - and says in a low, soft voice "It's all a matter of not overselling it." And oh. Oh. Shadow is in trouble.

I also want there to be a fake-kissing scene. You know the kind of stage kissing where one person cradles the other person's face (with their thumb over their lips) and then kisses the back of their own thumb, so that from a certain angle it looks like they're kissing? Yeah that.

ANYWAY. Yes, good trope, A+ trope :D

It was three years ago today that I first posted something to my art blog - a version of the “tempting the hero to the dark side“ scene in a role-reversal AU, inspired by @eeveelinktions‘s prompt from @imaginefourswords.

Hello hello! I'm just wondering cause this is driving me nuts, but do you have the post where you fixed Dwight's tome lore to not be hot drugging garbage? I'm trying to find it for a friend but maybe I'm just blind.

Hi! First up, amen to Dwight’s retcon of his well-established-for-multiple-years-canon-lore. Devs have no rights. They just don’t. They keep destroying their own games’s story content as actively and incompetently as humanly possible. Secondly though, I’m actually not sure which post you mean. I went off about the massive stupid Arcus retcon about the entire world here, and did some OG4 headcanons here (including quite a few for Dwight), and then I got an ask for Meg Thomas headcanons that has a few about Dwight peppered into the second half here? So I’m not totally sure what post you’d be thinking of. You can find his OG lore still on his wiki, because the devs don’t even bother to cover their tracks when they rewrite their own established lore, and it’s still up thought (here’s a link). If you’re remembering a scene from my fic instead, it would either be I think from Going Big Places (Dwight’s first character chapter) or in Proven, where Jake spends a long time thinking about how he’s changed as a person in the first segment, and Dwight spends a while talking to him about his past near the end.

I was super pissed about the new Arcus lore and went off about Dwight’s retcons a lot, and to multiple people, but I think I did it almost all in PMs with people & on discord, maybe in a few post tags too, and I didn’t get a request for Dwight lore like I did for Julie, so I don’t think I ever wrote alternate lore for him. If it’s not one of those posts you’re thinking of, it was probably a kindred soul who was going off about the same very valid rage-fuel when I was, and not me, and I hope you find them and their post!
