->Nick never went and collected the Winter tapes because he was afraid. Fear of what'd happen when he'd finally go through and snip that last part of his Pre-War self and maybe finding closure for Jenny... He needed someone with him to help ground him, to help push through the grief and weight of centuries that passed without justice revenge for a death that still aches deep inside. Who better than Sole, which, he's super on board with helping find the asshat who kidnapped their baby and shot their spouse. Like, yea he'd absolutely go great lengths to help someone in need, esp if a kid is in trouble, but also...bet he knows how that grief feels.
->One of the reasons why he smokes is to come across as more human. He knows it doesn't do much except clog some of his systems, but going through the motions of getting a lighter, a cigarette, and lighting it, puts others at ease as well as like...helps him think. Sometimes you just gotta do something else to get those neurons sparking.
->I sorta pin him as a bourbon kind of guy, but will take whiskey just the same. He's never had moonshine until Vadim talked him into trying out a new batch he was experimenting with. Moonshine is...strong and that's just how it be. Not surprising Nick had such a bad reaction to it hahaha. Also, Pre-War!Nick was possibly a lightweight and didn't drink that often unless it was one of those nights where he was exhausted and his brain wouldn't slowdown long enough to sleep because there is too much to do. The Winter Case lead to many sleepless nights...and empty bottles...
->Sometimes he'll go to the Third Rail to listen to Magnolia sing. Big fan of that jazz. Would probably love to dance to it, but alas, who'd want to dance with him?
