greetings! i‘ve got a toxel egg from a friend in galar, what can i do to prepare for when it hatches (i never took care of an egg)? i live on a very cold mauntain area, should i make it a scarf or something(my other pokemon wear some)? how do i prepare my pokemon for the new edition? sorry if i asked to many questions! have a lovely day/night!

I would definitely recommend getting an incubator, especially since you live in a cold area and this is your first egg. The incubator will keep the egg safe and at the ideal temperature automatically.
A scarf or blanket is a great idea! Baby pokemon often have difficulty regulating their temperature right away. I'm sure Toxel would love one!
For your other pokemon, you should keep Toxel in a separate room for a couple days. That way your other pokemon can get used to Toxel from a distance and Toxel can bond with you.
You can let your other pokemon inspect the egg though. Most pokemon will recognize that a new friend is on the way! UNLESS their species commonly eats eggs and they are disobedient. There are quite a few stories of poorly trained pokemon who thought their trainer brought home a nice snack.. 😳
The rest of how to prepare your pokemon depends a lot on their individual personalities. But they shouldn't eat any of Toxel's food unless they are also poison types. It's food will contain toxins that could make other pokemon pretty sick.
Similarly, any of your pokemon with grooming tendencies should avoid grooming Toxel for a while. Young poison types often can't control their secretions very well.
