“cooked.” 2024. digital illustration. 12 in. x 9 in.
this is the first piece i created to kick off my summer break. i felt inspired to draw everyone’s favorite lazy egg, gudetama!
The Egg of All Eggs
"It's really the new Fabergé!"
The internet insists, and the internet is often its own appraisal committee. This piece stages that moment of inflated reverence. Ornamentation meets irony: lacquered surface and gilded detail confronts the performance of taste, the economics of scarcity, and the ways we manufacture cultural worth.
Sometimes you have to laugh about it all.
If you laughed, then look closer at the piece, zoom in.
i ONLY GOT TO FINISH TALULLAH AND TILIN.
Porco Rosso!

Ukrainian Pysanky Eggs // Pysanky (meaning "to write") is an ancient egg art which origins in Ukraine and surrounding regions. Each egg is a unique handmade treasure, where beeswax and dyes are used repeatedly in the creation. Once the wax is melted away the amazing design is revealed.
