I started WOT 5 I think Avi/Rand are the only canonical Rand ship I appreciate because at least the two of them got to know each other on the page. As a reader, I can see them and I can see their dynamic (it seems less like it "happened" because the Pattern wants it).
I also think Elayne is too free a woman to have a steady man :^ (I liked Min with Gawyn, but I guess I can't resist the wheel). I really like where Egwane's character is going and her relationship with Avi (in a completely platonic and friendly way).
Nya is still my queen.
Thom being uncomfortable with Elayne is gold, because he sees her as a daughter.
Siuan and El Professor (sorry, I have trouble with clearly Gaelic names) in their revenge era, I AM READY.
Asmodean is an inexhaustible source of amusement for me.
I break down every time Mat thinks of Rand, because clearly, no matter what, he still wants his friend back.
Last but not least: someone bring Moiraine a 'kaf' and give her a break.
