Cassie sighed as she moved through the crowd of people to get to the empty space in a corner of the room. She hated everything about this. She’d never been a fan of wearing dresses or anything like that, certainly not this one since it didn’t cover her arms and she most definitely wasn’t a fan of being surrounded by this many people at one time. 

She let out a short sigh of relief as she reached the corner, leaning back against the wall a little. Cassie stared down at the floor a little as she stood there, starting to fiddle a little with the bandage that was wrapped around her left arm. 

After a couple of moments, she noticed someone approach her. “Leave me the fuck alone,” she said, not even lifting her gaze to look at them properly.

Event update;

For those wondering, there are drinks of alcoholic nature available, although they will only be given to donors (and other guests) arriving for the event. Drinks may be abandoned, though, so have at it - just remember that most medications have negative interactions with alcohol!

Sitting crossed legged in the far corner of the room, Lucinda barely drew any attention to herself. She was surprisingly quiet, instead sipping from a rather ominous cup as every so often a soft giggle escaped her lips. It was clear the girl was intoxicated some way, yet did not wish take a turn in the limelight. However, as someone came near she tilted her head; a broad smile gracing her features. “A little more of this and I might even fancy a dance,” she chuckled before her gaze wandered off again.

“Yeah, not wearing that shit. Thanks though.” She shouted, walking past a nurse who had been trying to offer her a dress.

Gemma let out a sigh, fiddling with her phone as she stood on the edges of the laminate at the Gala, “I still don’t get why I have to be here... I don’t like parties and stuff... I’d rather be back in the lab,” she mumbled aloud, not really talking to anyone in particular.

Lou stood by the punch bowl, clinging timidly to a plastic cup full of red liquid. He took a few sips and looked around at the people. So many people he didn’t know. So many people in tux’s and fancy dresses. It reminded him of some kind of prom atmosphere and it made his chest constrain. The faces of his friend’s flitted in his mind and he squeezed his eyes shut, shaking his head. The teenager forced his eyes open and downed what was in the cup, wishing there was some kind of alcohol inside of it to help him get through this. Lou didn’t feel very social today, but he offered a polite smile to any who looked at him and a few words to those who talked to him.
