hi yes you've intrigued me with Cradles??
okay so cradle (by will wight) is this really niche book series that I ADORE. it's a litrpg, so it's got a lot of videogame progression elements, sort of a power crawl type deal. the characters though, they are aMAZING I love all of them they're all just so fascinating to me and they all get pretty nice multibook development that's pulled off quite well (12 books)(but oh so worth it) like one of my favorites has like. I don't know how to describe it. three book depression arc basically. and beyond that this series also has highkey THE BEST plot twist execution I've EVER seen. like I kid you not I was thinking to myself the first read through that "oh haha that kind of implies something... that would be crazy... but what no there's no way that's what's really going on here that would be ridiculous" and then a few books later you'd NEVER GUESS WHAT FRICKXKDHCKCING HAPPENS it was crazy. anyways. it also has great trope subversion, like the mentor character is not only like. a well developed character but highkey probably my favorite in the series (ily eithan arelius) because he's just so funny. he's a diva. he's from a family of prestigious janitors. his main weapon is a pair of scissors. he's cut off from the family fortune. he stays only just slightly more powerful than the protags the whole time. every single authority figure hates his guts. one of the first things he does as a mentor is make the protagonist get bit by legions of poisonous snakes. a true icon
wow i rambled a bit there um. anyways it's really good and you should read it, the first book is Unsouled by Will Wight
some cradle doods(les)

Doodle lalalala
I love how vain Eithan is, it makes me laugh every time.
"You can call me what you like. Genius. Savant. Prodigy. Virtuoso. Once-in-a-lifetime intellect. I've always preferred that people look beyond who I am on the inside and really appreciate my gorgeous exterior."
"[Ozmanthus] bore the classical good looks of the Arelius family, of the sort Eithan admired every day in the mirror."
Normally I hate vain characters but he just makes it funny
