Chai tried so hard, did so much, and yet nothing changed and Ek got hurt and the necklace broke and he's trapped in pain and failure and the loss of everything that had come to matter him so much.
And then the breakdown in the hospital because he knows he's lost everything? Absolute peak agony. He loves Ek so damn much. Ek brought him joy and belonging and another person who truly cared about him and he failed to protect him, he failed at the one thing he truly hoped he could do.
They hurt so much, y'all. Because they were from so damn happy to finally understand each other and now they're apart again. Heartbreaking.
They're together. They made it. Thanks to Ek and his willingness to hire people to intimidate his boyfriend-to-be's rivals.
This was just such a sincere 'he's too cute to handle' moment and I loved it, okay? Vibes only, vibes only.
The comparison of these two just breaks my heart. Because Aek's parents just want to trust him and to let him know that it's okay to be who he is and to love who he loves while Chai's mom is realistic to the point of pushing him away and the contrast of loving parents because they are all loving parents and that's why it hurts.
Aek's parents love him and give him freedom while Chai's mother loves him but reminds him of his place in society instead.
(I do wish they had done this earlier then the penultimate episode though because now there's VERY little space left for the resolution of the class issues and for them to make out.
Oh no, they're adorable. I love them. The rich young man with deep insecurities and the poor young man with all of his own issues who found each other in giving support that they are the perfect one to give.
These two are everything to me. absolutely everything to me. They are so precious. Just look at them.
Ek holding the red helmet in his hands so preciously? I love them. Don't love the only one helmet situation but love them nonetheless.
Y'all, they're so special to me. Chai is struggling but he cares so much despite the issues he's had and he cares about Ek
He's just a genuinely good kid who got swept up in the wrong group and now he's learning and getting better.
It's a good thing he found a new dream and his dream is a nerdy young man who needs him to be better so he can hang out with him.
Just look at them! I love them so much. Teeny tiny good news right before all their hearts get broken.
