The comparison of these two just breaks my heart. Because Aek's parents just want to trust him and to let him know that it's okay to be who he is and to love who he loves while Chai's mom is realistic to the point of pushing him away and the contrast of loving parents because they are all loving parents and that's why it hurts.
Aek's parents love him and give him freedom while Chai's mother loves him but reminds him of his place in society instead.
(I do wish they had done this earlier then the penultimate episode though because now there's VERY little space left for the resolution of the class issues and for them to make out.
A special gift for those who love this series as much as me.
Again inspired by @gizkasparadise own version for the Double
How to conquer the heart of your future lover? Take him to eat out to show him you want to take care of him.
Excuse me, but why this episode feels like the "cursed episode 11"?
It was so depressing and sad to see all the couples being sad, lost, hurt or unable to be together. I need happiness for them...
- Chai. Drive safely. - Thanks. And also, tell me how many geese you counted.
I think the series is doing a great job at showing the different couples and their bond. There is something interesting in the story of Chai and Aek who come from different "world". Chai is raised by a single mom who has difficulties to make ends meet. He used to be the leader of a gang and it led him to many problems. On the other hand, Aek was raised by a rich and doting family, but he has always been shy and doesn't like to perform in front of people.
In many stories, these two would never have been friends (or more), but in this one they balance each other well. They both bring the best to each other. I was afraid when Chai was arrested that Aek's parents would try to forbid them from seeing each other. They did it, at first, but they are nice enough to offer a second chance and that's why I think they can keep their title of "best parents" in a BL series. I can't wait to see how the deep bond shared by Aek and Chai will slowly morphed into romantic feelings.
