Great weekend at ELCAF. Matt Melis writes a very comprehensive review of our experience here: http://nongravity.tumblr.com/post/146072410566/elcaf-2016-postmortem
My table buddies on the day were:
Matt Melis
Alan Dunne
I cleaned up the comic I drew at Isabel Greenberg’s ELCAF masterclass last week! Such a fun day! The assignment was to write a story using a famous painting as premise. I chose George Seurat’s Un dimanche après-midi à l'île de la Grande Jatte.
Attendees at the workshop also made comics around Botticelli’s Spring, Magritte’s Son of Man or Degas’ Ballet. Before that Isabel talked about her narrative techniques and showed exemples out of her works. It was super interesting! GG Elcaf =)
I had a great weekend at ELCAF in London. Here’s a lil snap of my table set up. Thanks to everyone who stopped by - it was so ace to see comics buds and make some new ones too x
A final one from our @elcaf haul. This one's called 'Run' and is by Mar Rubio. It narrates a woman's love and need for running, which is embedded with a connection to nature and ambition to surpass one's own limits. #marrubio #illustration #concertina #elcaf #elcaf2016
Day#3 bis @elcafest thanks and praise! #elcaf2016 #elcaf #bookfair #acething #bookfair #graphicarts #comics #dontcomemuchbetterthanthis (at The Round Chapel Hackney)
Londoners! Find us here at ELCAF today! @lidlesscomics and I will be representing @stray-lines at table 50. Come say hi and maybe buy a comic why not.
