I want to request something for eldarya TO routes, related to a trend of tiktok I recently saw. It is about recording yourself with your boyfriend and calling him "husband". Sooooo, since in Eldarya there aren't phones, I was just thinking of the reader accidentally call them her husband (they are just a couple, not a marriage yet) by accident or willingly. Pretty please?

EZAREL
You were searching for Ezarel all over the HQs, you needed some potions for a mission. He wasn’t on the lab, nor on his room, so the next stop you’d thought he’d be in was the dinning hall. As you entered, you saw Karenn, so you decided to ask her: “have you seen my husband by any chance?”
Karenn couldn’t help but start laughing at your choose of words, and more when they caused a nearby elf to choke on his honey pot.
“Your… what!?” he practically exclaims. He seems offended but he’s actually just surprised.
He is embarrassed, but not as much as you are due to that slipped word. Karenn’s laugh doesn’t help to ease the embarrassment, so she picks her stuff up and says “well, it seems that you found your husband already,” you can feel the amused tone on her voice as she leaves.
Ezarel doesn’t talk about it at that moment, he just goes straight to the point about why you were looking for him.
During your mission, he stays on the HQs replaying that moment on his head. He gets nervous just thinking about it, hiding his face under his hand to avoid be seen with that blush.
Days later he’d talk about it. He’d ask you if you’d really be willing to marry him in the future. It’d be a vulnerable conversation, but one that makes him happy when he sees that someone loves him that much to want him as her husband!
NEVRA
You knew about your boyfriend’s past, about how many women had desired him and probably keep desiring him even if he is now happily taken.
You were talking with some members of your guard during that night party on the dinning hall. Everything was going well, everyone was having fun. But of course, there were creatures that couldn’t respect the relationship you had with Nevra. Maybe it was envy, maybe it was just missing talking to such a beauty he was.
But your blood was boiling anyway, but you acted as calm and healthy as possible. You walked towards them and wrapped your arm around his, looking up at him with an affectionate smile, then at her. “If you excuse us, miss, me and my husband have to leave,” you said in the most casual way.
Nevra noticed the title you gave him and a proud smile escaped him. But he didn’t correct you. Why would he? He is perfectly fine with being your husband, and that would make him the luckiest man in the whole universe.
“Yeah, right, my wife and I had something planned tonight,” he quickly said, playing along and resting his free hand on his hip, back straight and the pride visible. “Let’s go, honey?” he asks you, letting you lead the way out that situation.
He teases you later about it, buuuut will add that title as a constant nickname to call you whenever you aren’t around. He always refers to you as “my wife”, no matter who he talks with and no matter if it’s not true yet.
VALKYON
You were helping him to clean some weapons on the Forge. There were some of the members of the obsidian guard preparing themselves for a new mission, setting their armors and picking some weapons. Some of them were helping each other to get ready and others were just chatting.
You dried your forehead from a few drops of sweat, wondering how Valkyon wasn’t tired of cleaning dry blood and sharpen the weapons. Looking around the swords, you found yours and got close to check on it. Someone behind you commented “wow, yours it’s truly sharp!”
“I know. My husband always makes sure it’s perfect for battles,” you proudly said, caressing the grip of it. The creature behind you simply nodded.
But Valkyon heard how you called him your husband and he paused his cleaning for a few seconds, assimilating what he just heard.
“Husband…?” he asks, loud enough for you to hear his confusion. You lowered your head, ashamed, just as he lowered his head to hide the little smile that was drawing on his lips.
He doesn’t tease you about it. In fact, when you get close to him again, he says “don’t be shy. I wouldn’t mind,” sharpening a sword with a that little grin on his face.
LEIFTAN
You both decided to spend the sunny morning off on the market, seeing the parades without rush. There were fruits you never saw on Earth, some jewelry and accessories, pastries, books…
Most of the creatures living in the city of El spent their mornings walking through the market, starting the day slowly.
Walking through there, you found an old woman you once helped to find her companion, so every time she sees you, she initiates a short, friendly conversation. “What are your plans for today, dearie?” she asks with a lovely smile.
You looked at Leiftan, holding his arm, then you say: “I decided to spend the morning with my husband, since we both finally got free time.”
Leiftan’s eyes widen, and his cheeks get that intense red of shyness. He stutters a few things, not forming a word at all, shaking his head meanwhile. “Oh, n-no, no! We are not married,” he says with a nervous giggle towards the woman, “yet! Yet. Of course, I want to marry her but I… I need to purpose decently.”
It was so cute how he quickly rectified that the woman laughed along with you due to his reaction.
Once the woman leaves, he’ll look at you with a puppy face and say “have you ever thought about it…?” and he gets so so happy and sensitive when you say yes.

EZAREL
The moment people started talking about your absence with more insistence, something flipped inside him. He pulled a little joke trying to calm the environment such as “I bet they just got lost following a pretty squirrel”.
But the truth was that he was extremely anxious. His days felt off without his favorite person besides, and even if he tried to keep a normal life… he just felt off. Something – someone was missing.
He lost his focus on his job constantly, trying to regulate his breath and not to cry. His appetite disappeared, he was exhausted but couldn’t sleep knowing you were out there. Ezarel starts searching for potion recipes that could help him know your current location.
Ezarel needs space from everybody else and can’t really stand the noise anymore, even if that could prevent him from overthinking about you all the time.
Whenever someone mentions your name, he hopes it’s because they have news and not just to bring out the obvious fact that you aren’t there.
Valkyon probably caught him mid panic attack, wondering all the things that could’ve happened to you.
He becomes extremely obsessed with doing stuff on his own to search for you. He packs his stuff, a few potions he created the last nights and food for the time he finds you and can give you energy. Ezarel prefers risking his own life than keep waiting for something that he doesn’t know if will happen.
NEVRA
He tries to keep his composure because people around him are panicking enough and he doesn’t want to worsen it. At first he tries to be relaxed, to be the grounding person under all that chaos.
Nevertheless, he starts getting flashbacks that hurt his heart: those nights on your room, those spots where you both usually met around the HQs, that spot on the dining hall that was yours mainly.
He doesn’t aisle himself nor expresses his fear openly, he just becomes quieter and more thoughtful.
The moment the night arrives, he goes out to search for hints that can tell him where you are. Every night he goes further, sometimes coming back to the HQs by the sunrise.
Karen was truly worried about him and mad by the fact that he went alone on your search. She already had a dear friend missing to lose his brother now. So she offers him to create a searching group that would mainly include her, Chrome, Nevra himself and some other people that could be close to you. You were more important than whatever happened after your disappearance.
Nevra felt guilt for losing you, because he felt responsible of taking care of you and he felt like he had failed completely.
VALKYON
This triggers something on him.
When you go missing he is the one to initiate a search, not even caring what other missions were before. His main priority is to rescue you and make sure that you are alive. He tries to keep his mind cold and be strong until he finds you.
But every day that passes he becomes more scared of the chance of you being dead. He thought for a long while that his brother was dead and that was a pain that he really didn’t know how to cope with – how could he lose you now?
Every negative report about the search for you stabs his heart.
Someone said “maybe they won’t come back” and that was the last straw for him. He couldn’t deal with the idea of you being gone in every aspect of his life. He failed to protect you as much as he promised himself to protect every single one of his friends.
He insists on keep searching, even if he slowly breaks down and becomes more emotional about it. Nevra would be the one grounding him, comforting him when Valkyon can no longer hold his tears.
There are nights in which he goes into your room and sits on the bed, thinking about you being there and comforting him about finding you soon. For his well being, Nevra had to shut firmly the door of your room with the key he had because that would only hurt Valkyon more.
LEIFTAN
When Miiko tells him about your disappearance, all he can hope for is that it is all a nightmare. Did you leave on your own? Did you perhaps get kidnapped? Or what if you got killed? Were you alone and scared? Were you cold and hurt?
His panic makes him overthink and anxious, not really able to focus on anything else than the negative stuff.
He cannot keep the cheerful, calm and responsible facade of his. It burns him to not know what happened, or if something was going on your mind to make you leave them.
However, he felt bad for trying to search the answer on you as if it was your fault to go missing. The easiest thing is to blame himself too, and the guilt only becomes stronger when he sees no result on the searching expeditions that Miiko started after he begged her to take this seriously.
Every time he goes out to search for hints, he asks people kindly about you. But with time his tone gets more desperate, just as he gets desperate to find you.
He avoids looking at your bedroom door, or to sleep on his bed as he will probably think of your warmth and miss it.
Unfortunately his habits don’t change. He keeps making tea for two or waiting for you outside the HQs to go for a walk, hoping that you will come back any of those nights.
Leiftan tried to be positive about the situation to other people, trying to keep up the search, but he was losing hopes himself. His mind was the most negative aspect on the conflict.

It’s pretty complicated. At the beginning he is saying no, but instantly. The moment you say the word “kids” he immediately says “no”. Ezarel wonders what good would it make to have a mini-him go around and make chaos just as he does…
Deep down, it isn’t just that. He is also scared of losing the track of his life, not being a good father and… well, it’s a whole living being you both gotta take care of. It seems such a responsibility for him.
But even if he says no, the idea keeps spinning around his mind whenever he’s got nothing to do. Now, he keeps looking at families, how couples can still be happy even with a creature on their arms crying and screaming for food. And he imagines you and him as that couple, growing a kid together.
Whenever you speak about having kids again, he just listens to you this time. He listens to your opinions, your excited comments about having a family together.
If you ask him, he is gonna say no. But this time is softer, not as rough or sarcastic as the beginning.
Nonetheless, you will catch him reading books about how to be a good father and whatever he can find on the library that helps him with that.
And once he’d be completely disconnected from reality, thinking about life choices, and he’d murmur “but I don’t think the HQs are safe enough for our kids…”
That surprised you. He said our kids. OUR kids.
You talked to him about it, excited, and all he did was sigh and nod. Ezarel was slowly changing his mind, even if he is still terrified as hell of being a bad father.
NEVRA
At first, he is a little bit surprised. But then, it makes him smile whenever you mention having kids with him - his eyes soften a little and he just listens to you.
He doesn’t the reject the idea, but doesn’t accept it yet. He simply thinks about it, not rushing the idea so you both can enjoy of your youth before creating a living being.
He doesn’t overthink it either. Isn’t it the point of having a partner to create a family? There might be couples which are not interested, and it’s completely understandable. But in his case, he wants to have kids.
Nevra stares at you when kids are around you and genuinely imagines you both being parents. He might join to play with those kids so you can share a little experience of how would it be.
Whenever the conversation comes up again, he slowly starts to open up and participate on it. He’d do it by making questions about their names, how would you educate them and several things that got you both sharing a lovely and nice moment together!
He may point at some random families every now and then, whenever you both are out for a walk, and say “those two will be us.”
VALKYON
He craves for it, he wants to create a family with you. But obviously, it is a serious subject to think about. He might be the one coming out with that conversation, but not as deep as you did.
Valkyon openly accepts the idea, and by holding your hand says “still, there is no rush. We gotta prepare ourselves for it.”
He wants to have kids because he is attracted to the idea of protecting, taking care of and creating something long-lasting with you. Not only your relationship, but a whole genealogical tree.
It is simply his ideal way of life.
But he is also scared of not meeting the expectations. There are many risks on life that he doesn’t know how much will he be able to protect your kids, but he will do his best at it.
Every now and then he asks you “do you think it is the time?”
He is innerly excited to have kids and see a creature, or a couple of creatures, running around and having fun as you both check on them with a lovely smile on your faces.
Just by imaginning that, he’d smile and kiss your forehead with no context, making you wonder what the hell just happened.
LEIFTAN
The moment you mention having kids, he doesn’t have any bad reaction. Actually, his answer is calm and soft, “it’s a precious idea… I also had it several times.”
Talking about it is what actually creates his doubts.
Of course, he wants to have that style of life: a home, calm and a stable family with you. He also has a great empathy that might help when teaching your kids, solving problems and dealing with their rude periods.
But he is scared of not deserving such a happiness, of his own nature affecting your kids somehow.
After doubting this much, he can get a little bit reserved about the subject. He doesn’t reject it but avoids getting deep into it, saying such things like “there are too many things that could go wrong though…”
What he needs isn’t time, it’s that you understand his view. If you reassure him by telling him constantly that he is going to be a good father and he is changing from his past mistakes, he might open up again about that subject.
When he overcomes that era of self-doubts, he might openly accept the idea with a smile on his face. It is a very emotional and conscious decision, truly important. But he wants to take that step with you.
LANCE
A big no.
He frowns from the confusion and fear. Lance is shocked by the idea, and not because it is the first time someone offers him that, but because he simply cannot imagine giving his kid a happy life.
He might answer “children?? I don’t know if I’m the correct person to be a father,” so yeah. His first reaction comes from insecurity: the fear of not being enough. What if your kids think badly of him once they find out all the crazy shit he did? It’d make sense but… he’d like a happy family, without secrets. But his past… it still haunts him.
The idea doesn’t disgust him, it just scares him. And it would take him a big while to take this fear off.
So everytime you start talking about it, he tries to avoid the subject, because it makes him real anxious.
He might talk with some creatures in the HQs that are parents so he can have an experienced view on the subject. And he might consider it then...
MATHIEU
Somehow, he firstly reacts excited. No jokes, the fact that you want to have KIDS with him makes him so happy.
“Yes, yes, of course yes, dear!” he exclaims as he holds both of your hands. Then reality hits him and he becomes aware that it is a great amount of responsibility. Of course he thinks of this towards the future, there’s lot of youth to enjoy yet!
He loves the idea, and cannot help but imagine all the new experiences that will come along with creating a new family.
Mathieu talks more about the subject than you do. He likes to think about names for your kids together, about the rules you’ll set towards the kid, about some situations to think how you’d both act if it happened.
He fights to have a good relationship with you so it can be a good influence for them in the future.
Whenever there are kids around, he likes to play the role of a father to check how he’d be as one. And he’s surprisingly confident and excited for it.

More Valkyon headcanons because honestly I miss my Eldarya era
He loves snakes. They're chill and nice like he is.
He has several holes on his ears for piercings from back when he lived outside of the Guard. He used to like golden piercings but he stopped wearing them after he joined the Obsidian and Lance died.
He sometimes misses his spikes when he's in his human form
Despite his quiet nature he's extroverted and tends to get really sad when he's alone for a long time
He has cool scars from battles but also a lot from his childhood. He used to be clumsy as hell and gained several long lasting injuries that left a mark on his skin
He has no problem with it if his pillow is warm
Prefers sleeping on a matress on the ground, or just on the ground in general. He sleeps better that way.
The first thing he forged was a short sword for a faun, he named it Sting (Lotr reference yes)
His yawns are soft and quiet but his sneezes are comparable to artillery fire
He was insecure about his body for a long time since he wasn't as lean as most guys
He puts the cereal first and then the milk
He has facial features similar to indigenous americans (yes I know his mother is black and he has a general white boy face in the game but cmon he would look so much more authentic that way, also we dont know anything about his father sooooo)

EZAREL
One day, mid-job he paused and got hit by the fact that it’s done… your relationship has reached an end. The first days after the break-up he had a great emotional block, and things didn’t seem real to him.
Then, a big wave of anxiety runs over him whenever he sees you laughing with other people, being happy with someone else. I mean, you can be happy, but the thought of you being it thanks to anyone else filling your heart again- the simple thought of you building a future with someone that isn’t him… it breaks him.
I’m so sorry for the person he might become after it, but when he checked that he still had those feelings for you, he decided to be pretty drastic. He started hated everything that reminded him of you, since that was the easiest way to transform those feelings for you into something far from love. He also avoided those places where he used to go with you and had a deep meaning on the relationship.
However, most of the time he found himself overthinking and asking himself “was it really that necessary to break up?”. But he’d focus on the negative stuff that could’ve happened on the relationship to answer himself, even the smallest detail.
It’s pretty childish, but it was the easiest way for him to forget those feelings.
He might get scolded by some of your mates to stop acting like a dumbass, and he sometimes wished to be left alone for a while so no one could care too much about him.
After the relationship he had with you, it is truly difficult for him to open up for love again. He even hates the simple idea of it, because he once imagined a future with you just to try to think about a future alone again. He was so used to think about everything with you that losing the habit was truly difficult.
NEVRA
He tries to convince himself that he will get over it soon, but he realizes that life isn’t the same without you. You were his first and probably last long and stable relationship. It was the first time he understood why do people suffer from love.
I hate writing this, but it’s somehow canon that he returned to the old habit: hooking up with whoever offered him the time. However, he couldn’t help but think about you all the time. And it made him feel like a bad person. He was practically comparing them to you and using them to distract himself from the thought of you.
He hates not valuating enough how you always were there for him. Now his company is momentaneous and not loyal, not even loving for a bit. Everything is empty and just lustful.
He overthinks if the reason why you broke up with him was because you doubted of him… he is aware of his reputation before dating you and fears that you ever doubted of him being unloyal to you. Because he never was. You taught him how great love could feel and how precious it could have been to grow old with the same person.
He can still recognize your scent through meters, and misses burying his nose in your hair whenever he hugged you. And whenever you’re around, he would try to look to other side but… his eyes always end up on you.
Nevra would treat you the same as always, but avoiding the flirty behavior. He doesn’t want to make you uncomfortable or seem like a crazy, persistent ex. He might ask you about how things are going just for a mutual update of life, but without getting into details that he is still not over you.
VALKYON
It seems like it doesn’t affect him, but it does more than you can imagine. When someone mentions your name, his thoughts become blurry and he can only focus on the thought of you. He might also get weak whenever you pronounce his name in a certain way or he sees your smile directed at him. God that’s even more painful than a stab on his side.
He will treat you with the same coldness as the beginning. Everything ended, including his closeness to you. And it somehow burns him inside that you know him so much, all his sides. From his weakness to his strength. He knows that you were the correct person and doesn’t regret opening up to you in the past, but now… he finds it difficult to open up again since your connection isn’t that deep anymore.
And that exactly is what he keeps thinking even after the relationship: you were the correct person for him. He didn’t need anyone else. But he was maybe not the correct one for you.
Valkyon is the type of person who prefers to not trip on over the same stone again and try to get over it, even if it hurts. The relationship ended instead of fighting to keep it, so he knows it’s over. He wishes that you find your path in life and be happy.
But all those thoughts of you holding your children, of growing old together… those are thoughts he has to drown in some drinks at night. He might need Ezarel or Nevra by his side during those nights, needing a shoulder to cry on.
He still remembers your favorite stuff and might prepare things the same way as he did to you unconsciously.
And when he died, he died knowing that his heart would have an owner even in the afterlife.
LEIFTAN
To start with, he thought he could handle it well. The best thing to do when things aren’t working out is to stop forcing the connection.
He continued doing his life and seeing you through the corridors of the HQs, but that was what broke him the most even if he didn’t want to accept it.
In front of you, he might act with the same kindness as he treats everybody else. But the moment he is alone, he tries to compose himself and not breakdown. He misses you.
And he misses you the most during nights, when he finds the spot besides him empty and cold. He finds himself caressing the empty spot besides him and crying, missing those good night kisses and words you always gave him so sweetly.
This, however, makes him feel guilty and embarrassed. You probably forgot about those nights, you probably had more important things to think about rather than old memories from someone you’re not emotionally attached anymore.
Whenever you both are in a meeting or a party organized in the HQs, he has to leave and go for a walk. He adores knowing you’re happy and doing well, but it lowkey hurts him to see that he can’t share that happiness the same way as before. And it will never be the same again.
Whenever he talks about you, he cannot say a bad word. He talks about you with a mix of melancholy and happiness.
LANCE
He keeps your gifts and more than once has started writing letters for you, but ended up throwing those papers away. Those letters are filled of questions, of apologies in case he did something wrong, of words that had a deep meaning but would never be read.
He wonders if you still think about him just as much as he does or if you even hate him. And he’d prefer that you hate him instead of being so kind with him, because your kindness is what made him fall in love the most.
He avoids you because he cannot handle looking at your eyes directly. So if you try to talk to him, he’d simply say “I’m sorry” and leave, pretending that he is too busy to talk. But he is actually busier trying not to feel.
He still notices any slight change on your physical appearance and finds himself weird for doing that. And maybe you thought he was weird now, that he was a ridiculous and weak man.
Mathieu tried to distract him, he tried to make Lance open up but it ended up badly. Lance didn’t mean to snap at him, and it was another reason for him to feel even worse about himself — but Mathieu knew it was just a mistake. So he kept himself by his side in case Lance needed company and support, even if it wasn’t the same as yours.
Lance spends sleepless nights wondering what he did wrong, what could’ve made him improve as a partner for you. And also drowning himself in memories he created with you.

The first days, it doesn’t feel real. He is in some sort of denial that has him on the edge constantly. Lance has had to comfort him more than once since he didn’t know what to do. Sometimes he felt calm, sometimes he felt like world was ending without you.
That cute spark of energy on his eyes is gone for a while, for as long as he still gets anxious when he thinks or is around you. For as long as he keeps thinking and thinking without stop.
He was used to overthink whenever things went slightly wrong, but knew how to mask it properly. But this situation was too big for him to cover it.
He finds himself wanting to share some news, sudden thoughts and experiences with you. But he fears that doing that will only attach him even more to you, so he tries to suppress all those urges and distract himself.
It’s sad how the only way to get over those feelings were distancing and detaching himself from you.
The first time you tried to communicate with him normally he tried to hold the tears so dearly, you even had to step back from the conversation because he was trying truly hard to not cry in front of you.
He wonders if there is a life in which you both can be happily together, married and old.
He spends more time with Lance to distract himself, and he slowly starts to stop feeling anxious when he thinks of you! Even though he still believes that you were the love of his life and the one he wanted to spend the rest of his days with.

CATS
Ezarel ;; he doesn’t enjoy constant company. He likes having his space, focus on whatever requires his concentration and try to worry as less as possible about anyone else most of the time… that’s why I believe cats are his choice. A cat won’t follow him everywhere and neither would demand for attention every minute. It tends to be independent, quiet and enjoys its own space. However, Ezarel also enjoys those rare moments in which cats decide to be clingy. He’d like to hear the soft purrs of the cat as he takes a break from his own work, both of them enjoying the peacefulness they bring to the moment. Ezarel also loves playing with cats. He is somehow good at making cats feel comfortable enough to play with him. He complains about getting his whole arm scratched and bitten, but he has fun anyway! He also tends to imitate cats’ meowing whenever they do it because he finds it cute and fun.
Leiftan ;; he needs peace. After so much chaos, inner arguments and contained feelings, a cat could be what he needs to be comforted. It wouldn’t pressure him, wouldn’t require much from him, and it would just be there; a small purring creature that curls up on his lap whenever the world gets overwhelming. Cats understand silence, and Leiftan lives in it more than he likes to admit. He’d find comfort in the soft presence of the cat. Oh, and he’d absolutely adore whenever the cat decides to rub its furr against Leif’s clothes, it’s so cute! Taking care of a cat would be, for him a way to remind himself that he can give and receive affection without fear. It’s a deep connection and he craves it. I don’t think Leiftan would like to be scratched by his cat, but he just accepts it if it happens that the little creature accidentally scratches him when playing together.
DOGS
Nevra ;; this one is canon. He loves dogs, and I actually believe that might be because he likes the purity and honesty in them. Those lovely creatures are expressive, happy and loyal, that never doubt about giving affection back. He’d enjoy the company of a dog because he can also give it the same thing as a dog gives him: attention, affection and game. Besides, dogs trust easily, and Nevra needs a real connection. A dog would follow him everywhere, would wait patiently for Nevra to come back after an expedition or a long switch working on his guard. And by the time the vampire is back, the dog would happily celebrate it. The excitement of seeing him coming back would make Nevra feel important and very happy to have a little creature caring so deeply about him.
Valkyon ;; I hope no one doubts about Valkyon being team dogs. And probably the big ones. I believe a dog reflects just what Valkyon is and needs: a calm guardian, who might look intimidating at first, but its heart is the sweetest ever. He loves the loyal company. Valkyon doesn’t need words, and dogs are always there to show their affection with actions. He also trusts the fact that a dog wouldn’t hurt Floppy, he’d even enjoy spending time just watching them play together. Dogs are more than a pet for him –and hopefully it goes the same for EVERYBODY–, they are also the greatest company someone could ever have. A company for long walks, chill noons and comforting nights.
Mathieu ;; the brightness he spreads is the brightness he needs. A dog would match his energy 100%: happy, loyal and always ready for exciting experiences. He’d love to go running with it, also on expeditions and share moments with it. A dog would be his best friend, who is always there even on bad days. Mathieu values loyalty and honesty the most, and dogs are the ones offering that unconditionally. They bring enthusiasm without limits and a constant presence that makes Mathieu feel understood and accompanied. At the end, all what he is looking for is to have someone that shares the same passion and intensity for life as him. And there’s nothing better for it than a dog! Oh, and he also talks a lot with dogs as if they could understand him (sometimes he also barks back...)
Lance ;; I had a big issue deciding which team would Lance be… and even if I see why he’d pick cats, I still believe he’d rather have a dog. Dogs are his weakness. They offer him everything he needs: affection and loyalty without requesting it, without words. A company and connection that doesn’t break even if the world is collapsing. Dogs aren’t scared of other people’s pain: they approach, they stay and that’s exactly what could heal someone like him. Lance would deeply value that constant presence besides him, a pure affect that doesn’t judge him and only accompanies him. Moreover, a dog would keep him active and connected with life — that’s a reason to go out, stay positive and remember that there’s light after so much darkness. For someone who is carrying a big weight on his shoulders, a dog would be what puts his feet on the ground: a sign that he doesn’t have to deal with everything alone.

EZAREL
It was you who approached first to Ezarel, as you were commanded to seek help from him for a mission. He wasn’t very interested at first in approaching to you. We know how Ezarel was at the beginning, even if he had his reasons. He was impatient with the fact that you struggled to talk too loud towards him, crossing his arms and simply waiting for you to finish your sentence. He’d make a little bit of fun, imitating you as a way to extract more information about you. Ezarel felt some sort of warmth to see your frustrated reaction, stuttering a bit until you let all the message out.
And you avoided him at first, because you clearly didn’t enjoy that interaction very much. However, Ezarel talked about you with his friends, and Valkyon scolded him as if the elf was a kid. He told him that he should be more patient, like common respect! Then Ezarel was like mehh whatever you say, dad >:(
But it made him feel slightly guilty tho… so he started being kinder, approaching you first to share a rare meal with you, so you try new eldaryan food, ooor being kinder, in general. You were kind of grateful by his change, but confused. But he was also confused about why were you being so quiet and nervous around everyone.
He wonders why are you avoiding his gaze most of the time? Does he seem threatening? Why do you stutter so much? But with time, he started finding it adorable. And he learnt to be patient.
With time, he grew used to it. Your friendship also grew stronger so you felt more comfortable around him. You also got used to his teasing when you both were alone. The smirk on his face makes you wanna hit him, the way he approaches too much or throws a comment that tests your social limits. Seeing you getting so nervous is cute.
But he wouldn’t keep going if he sees he’s overstepping any boundary. When you seem uncomfortable or even anxious, he stops. Ezarel has a sixth sense to know that you’re too nervous.
When you both become a couple, he initiates physical contact to make you shy. He’d caress your waist subtly, seeing how you tense up, or even whispering in your ear an innocent and harmless “why is your breath so shaky? Are you alright?”
During social situations, he isn’t really overprotective or infantilizes you at all. If you want to express yourself, go on. He will keep his gaze on you, waiting for you to speak for yourself in front of others. If he sees you’re truly overwhelmed, he might take the lead of the conversation. His head movements are little nods, as a way to give you subtle motivation.
He initiates the physical contact if you’re too shy for that, such as taking your hand, or offering you his arm when he sees you’re containing yourself to do so. He loves how gentle and careful you seem to be with everything, even if he doesn’t agree with those insecurities that make you so awkward in social moments.
Ezarel will defend you if he sees someone is making you anxious from their insistence and their lack of patience.
NEVRA
During The Origins, he was the one who approached, completely curious about your whole presence on the HQs. At the beginning, he wasn’t used to be ignored or cause genuine awkwardness due to his behavior, since he believed that most of the creatures in Eldarya fell for him. He truly thought it was because he was irresistible and made you nervous —which is true, in a certain way—.
He had fun making you shyer than usual, provoking those reactions in you. So he might say many double meaning comments that ends up in you needing to go enjoy the fresh air from how warm your face is. But Nevra soon realized that he could be triggering you.
As time passed, he knew when your behavior became awkward around others and started talking to you about any other casual thing, trying to distract you.
You feel safer around Nevra, even though it’s easy that his cunty behavior makes you shy. But as long as it ain’t comfortable, it will be fun for both of you.
Nevra would never speak for you when it comes to social situations. He might be by your side so you don’t feel alone on that. One day, you had to speak up towards the team, following the orders of Miiko. Nevra would whisper a reassuring comment, but anything else. He might be behind you, arms crossed and looking around to make sure that everyone was behaving and paying attention to you. He might show a proud smile sometimes, nodding as he slowly nodded to your words.
He is observant to physical reactions, in any context. After the speech to the team, you dried your sweaty hands on your pants. Your breathing was as heavy as if you ran for about 15 minutes straight on an inclined street. He’d approach, gently stroking your cheek and asking in a gentler tone than ever “would you like to go for a walk and get some fresh air?”
During A New Era… well, even if things had seemed to change, he still knows very good about your shyness. His short, distant answers made it uncomfortable for you. And it pained him to see you so nervous around him again. Even if you’re not as shy as when you first met him, it seems like a barrier has been set in that comfort from before.
Your delicacy to talk to him awakens that affection, that deep love he felt for you. And he cannot help but be even more attentive with you than before. You’re so much gentler than everything going on around his life. The fact that your shyness remains the same makes his heart warm, and one of the first times you both were trying to break the ice, he couldn’t help but smile subtly at the way your eyes moved to the floor, playing with your hands and trying to form a coherent sentence on your mind to not speak nonsense. He’d clear his throat and calmly say “don’t worry, take it easy.”
Nevra has always been patient with you, and will keep being it.
VALKYON
First, you two met thanks to him approaching. He was also a quiet man at first, but you really didn’t know if he was simply a quiet man or also shy. He has already seen that you are indeed shy, that’s why his inner voice told him to welcome you into the HQs in a kinder way than others. But he wouldn’t add pressure to you. There is no need to know and talk with everyone, but at least have a couple of friends to lean on.
He is very understanding about this feature and isn’t uncomfortable, curious or frustrated. Valkyon finds it natural and doesn’t add much importance on it. In fact, he believes that your shyness is a part of your charm.
He is also very respectful and prefers to create a peaceful environment where you can feel safe and comfortable. With time, you started to see that Valkyon wasn’t as scary as he looked and he literally was the sweetest.
He might talk for you sometimes, only if he sees that you are getting overwhelmed, that you are getting blocked on your thoughts and do not find the words. He quietly and calmly speaks for you, to express what you were trying to say, without the intention of imposing or whatever. He keeps looking at you as he talks to see if he caught your message and feelings well enough to interpret it in his own words.
Valkyon tries to encourage you through his acts, looking at you with patience and a little smile, giving you space to express yourself when you are ready.
He loves to see you smile and puts all his effort to make you feel confident. He knows that shyness can be a barrier, but he believes that with his support and your own will, this barrier will be brought down step by step, enjoying every small improvement.
He likes to spend quiet and peaceful moments with you, such as going on a walk, only the two of you, through places where you won’t find anyone to disturb your calm.
Valkyon lowkey enjoys how you search his presence for comfort. You gently get a grip on his arm and follow him around as if you were just a part of his outfit. And it doesn’t bother him at all. He simply caresses your hand as a reminder that nothing will happen
He is well aware that you may hold a big insecurity inside to be this shy. And even if he doesn’t verbally say it, he presses little kisses on your head or forehead as a praising for your efforts. And whenever you are alone with him, he’ll dare to speak his praising towards you. But only in a place where you can only hear those loving words.
LEIFTAN
The moment he saw you was the moment he developed a genuine interest in your existence. You didn’t even notice it, but he stared at you from far away, his pupils dilating slightly. He approached at you to introduce himself, and the first thing he noticed is how small you suddenly got when he talked to you. He took a mental note that you were shy, which was adorable. It even made him blush a little, a warm smile on his face to show that he wasn't going to make fun of you -and he hoped that you got the message-.
Leiftan’s gentle treatment has always offered comfort and calm to you, that’s why it was easier to loosen up a little bit around him and be more confident.
Leiftan doesn’t make fun, doesn’t get impatient. He is more protective of you in case your clumsiness makes you get accidentally hurt, or in case someone else makes you insecure…
He never interrupts you or makes you feel like you have no voice for yourself. But if he sees that the situation is making you nervous enough, he puts on that sweet smile of his, and with a calm voice he takes subtle control of the situation.
When you start stuttering, he rubs your back gently and mutters “do not rush it, we have time,” trying to give you some security.
When your shyness is winning over you, he won’t overwhelm you with words. He knows all you probably want is peace. He approaches to you and takes your hand, no matter if it’s sweaty, and walks towards any spot of the area that is more calm. He has that gaze filled of warmth where he is asking you if you’d like to leave.
He is truly observant with your insecurities, and knows when you’re doubting of talking, when you’re feeling out of place, when you feel smaller. He doesn’t always act, but he stares at the creatures that made you feel like that sternly.
Whenever you take the initiative to do something, he either melts or smiles proudly, or both. If you surprise him by taking his hand, he might lower his guard a lot. If you suddenly give him a small kiss on his cheek, he feels all his blood accumulating on his head.
With Leiftan, you’ll slowly feel more confident, as his reassuring words and actions makes you feel safe. He would love to see you learn how to be less nervous, and seeing you put the effort to do so is a great reason to spoil you later with cuddles, kisses or your favorite snack!
MATHIEU
Honestly, he believed you disliked him at first because whenever he was around, you avoided his gaze or were truly quiet around. He asked Lance if you felt uncomfortable around him or whatever, if his energy was too much, if you hated him... Then he noticed that your face was flushed when he was around: you were nervous. He finds it cute, and not in the sense of finding it cute because he made you nervous, since it could perfectly not be like that. It’s more on the sense of finding you cute, in general.
Mathieu tries to do random questions to get to know you better, a little bit insistent but without any bad intentions. You realized that he was trying his best to make you open up, but trying to seem patient himself. It was also cute from him to be like that.
He has met a lot of people back on his daily life in earth who also were shy. He remembers those classmates who seemed to sweat or stutter at any short question from the teacher, and he can guess that you were just like that as well.
He gave you enough conversation to start to feel more comfortable around him, breaking that awkwardness and making you two feel like happy teens again.
He compliments you in public just to see you squirm and with an empty mind. He giggles like a mischievous kid and kisses your cheek “aww! Look at you, all nervous. How adorable!”
Mathieu knows when you are uncomfortable just by your expression, taking your hand and squeezing it a little as a way to say that it would be short until you both left. And to distract you from any situation that makes you uncomfortable, he’ll try to use his humor as a weapon against that situation. He’ll try to gain a laugh from you, enjoying it as if it was his favorite song.
Absolutely loves to see you take the initiative, making him shy this time. His face is pretty blushed when he feels your arms wrapping around his torso. A little, happy sound leaving his throat.
He is more verbal about his support, massaging your shoulders and cheering you up with comments like “come on, sweetie, you’re doing amazing,” and sometimes it doesn’t help much, but at least it makes you know that you aren’t alone.
Mathieu adores to see you shy after he has kissed you, pinching your warm cheeks as he makes fun of you in the most innocent way. Mathieu would never make fun of you to hurt you!
He talks about you with Lance and literally becomes so hyped talking about the cute things you do whenever you get nervous. But he also talks about the progress you’ve done in the last months with him, about how you seem to be more confident and brave to talk with others without being so clumsy.
LANCE
During The Origins… I’m sorry, he wasn’t too kind. At first, he perceived you as a bother. He didn’t even understand why someone so quiet and nervous was near the battlefield.
He used to provoke you just to repel you. He knew how easy you got small and insecure just by the way you acted with your mates, and used that as a privilege to make you feel uncomfortable and force you to run away. Actually, he was also uncomfortable being around you.
He always crossed his arms, waiting for you to finish your sentence. Do you guys know this meme where a man starts stuttering “if if if if if” and the other makes fun of him? Lance would be the one making fun. He was very impatient during those times.
He was so mean that you truly wished to not find him during the mission because it would be a nightmare instead of a mission.
Nowadays, during the A New Era season, he is more patient and actually understands that you don’t want to even look at him. But he regrets everything he had done. He approached nervously, as if testing the waters to talk to you and apologize properly for everything he did in his past.
You both needed a long time to be finally comfortable around each other, and it took a lot of effort from both of you, and lots of communication. Now he’s grown the patience he didn’t seem to have before. When he sees you start stuttering and getting blocked, he softens his tone and says “I’m still listening, don’t worry. Take all the time you need.”
Lance seeks your gaze for his own comfort, not wanting you to run away from him for his past mistakes. He would like to make you feel comfortable around him and not feel like he is going to judge you again.
He doesn’t really know about how to comfort you, but he tries. He offers you his hand whenever you’re shaky, or dries your sweat when you’ve just gave a speech and are completely nervous, or even keeps his hand on your back as a reminder that he is there.
Lance always encourages you to speak up whatever you are feeling, whatever is with him or with others. He prefers you to speak up for yourself because he can get quite protective of you and speak too sternly for everyone’s comfort.
Whenever others’ are making plans, and you’re just quietly looking at everyone and nodding, he might ask your opinion in a low tone, not forcing you to speak up, in case you aren’t comfortable. He always has in mind your feelings and opinion, and understands that sometimes is difficult to open up with strangers or that you don’t feel confident enough to share some words with others.
But he definitely lets you be whenever you’re opening up to others and letting that shyness fade.
