The Champions training is getting slightly better.

He is able to complete more trials than he usually can, but he still messes up horribly.

We- I worry if he does not learn soon enough, if a calamity is breached, he will not be able to stop it.

I have never questioned Lunadeyis, nor the Leviathans, but I am worried they have chosen the wrong boy.

Odelath says to give him more time, that he’s still learning and he’ll grasp it eventually. I do not see what Odelath sees in The Champion.
