Today we celebrate a recent Saint of our church, Eldress Sophia the Fool for Christ of Kleisoura Monastery (+1975). Showing true wisdom as her namesake, Saint Sophia took on the struggle of foolishness for Christ. She practiced extreme asceticism, living in the wood fire oven of the monastery's kitchen, eating the crumbs left on the dining table and drinking from the dirty dish water. Through her foolishness, she was proved wise before God. May she intercede for the salvation of our souls + #saint #sophia #kleisoura #eldress #ascetic #nun #monastic #monasticism #fool #foolforchrist #christ #jesus #jesuschrist #prayer #monastery #orthodox #saintoftheday (at Klisoúra, Kastoria, Greece) https://www.instagram.com/p/CdMNlR5PKjE/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
His Highness Crown Prince Eljonik from my High Eldress series
I take portrait commissions! I would charge $60 for a piece like this.
"Is there a problem here?" [eldress, Kansada]
Penny glanced up at the woman in surprise, eyes shining, as she pressed further still into the arm of the bench she was sitting on. The man beside her had gotten uncomfortably close, tried to strike up conversation Penny really didn’t want to have, and had thus rendered her too afraid to go anywhere he might follow, if she thought she could even walk at all.
“No problem,” the man answered with an easy smile, leaning back into the bench. “We’re just having a conversation.”
Could you please explain the relationship between Teela and Elderess in the CGI show? Is Teela her reincarnation? Is she a clone?
"Yes" to both.
After the confrontation with Keldor, Eldress was dying. With the last of her power before dying, she did 2 things:
she sent Adam to the Vine Jungle where he was found and raised by Cringer
she willed the last of her life-force into a new form and sent it some place she hoped was safe
That life-force was found by Man-e-Faces and became Teela. So, Teela is both Eldress' clone because her body is a reproduction of Eldress when she was young, and Teela is also Eldress' reincarnation because she is Eldress continuing to live on after her death. And, Teela is also a secret third thing: Teela is also Eldress' daughter since Eldress gave life to her.
Hope this helps!
Suddenly it dawned on me. Why guardian give Keldor a choice between the power of the castle and the power of chaos? And as it was said in the third season. Nobody knew there was such a power as chaos. And the only ones who knew after the war were the dying king and guardian. So it automatically makes Keldor think only one of these weapons has power. But back to the topic. Why had she given him the choice of the scepter of chaos at all? Why just an ordinary weapon? After all, she knew perfectly well that anyone who would wield this weapon would go mad.
After all, in season 1 episode 4. Keldor said he was slowly dying. We can see that he sucks energy from the soldiers with good wishes, because he has to survive somehow. And his only rescue was to get the sword, but as we know later, you can save yourself differently.
Did she really want to kill him at the very beginning? Because that's what it looks like to me.
I wouldn't say she "wanted to kill Keldor". That just sounds like a bad-faith interpretation of the scene. Eldress did not take any direct action against Keldor until after Keldor had already threatened both her and Adam.
Eldress gave Keldor a choice.
Keldor based his choice on what those symbols meant to him: sword - a soldier, a subordinate; and scepter - a leader, a ruler. He chose the scepter and lost his hand and started dying. That was the consequence of his choice.
The point of the scene was that people make their own choices. Choices have consequences and sometimes the consequences for making a bad choice are that bad things happen to you; up to and including death.
This was basically the Masters of the universe equivalent of that scene from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Last Crusade. The guardian of the grail gave the villain a choice, he made his choice, drank from the wrong cup, and died for it.
what do you think of teela fro he man cgi
I like her a lot.
Core/CGI Teela is probably my favorite out of all the incarnations of Teela across the whole franchise.
Teela has consistently been written by people who don't understand her character and how she fits into the lore. As such, Teela has been portrayed inconsistently for decades, even within the same run of media. In 2002, depending on who was writing the episode, Teela was either the only one on the team who got hurt and had to be taken care of my the others, or else she was an mean-girl who harassed Adam endlessly.
Kevin Smith's MotU:R managed to portray Teela much more consistently, but he went too hard on the raw emotion and made Teela come off as scathing and unfeeling. Again, a hard character to like.
In the DC run of the comics, Teela became nothing more than ass and titty material. Eye-candy with only superficial character depth and the bare minimum of development necessary to move the story.
But Core/CGI Teela doesn't have any of those problems. Her emotions and her behavior, how the interacts with the rest of the team and her role in the story all make sense with her background and upbringing. Her role in the story is understood by the writers and her character portrayal and development are consistent with the goal in mind of her rejoining with Eldress and becoming the TRUE new Sorceress of Castle Grayskull.
Core/CGI Teela is Best Teela.
