— The album includes only two songs: «Under the Mersey Wall» & «No Time Or Space», all compositions are played on the Moog synthesizer, Bernie Krause was involved in the work on the album

The album received mostly negative reviews, but it is one of the first electronic albums to be recorded by a rock musician

“We conceived of an offshoot [Zapple] of Apple Records that would be arty music that wouldn’t normally gain an outlet, a series where people could talk or read their work, as with the [Richard] Brautigan thing. The intention was to get Lenny Bruce and all these kinds of people. But as with so many other things at Apple, it seized up before it really got going. Both of the albums that did come out [Electronic Sound, and John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Life With The Lions: Unfinished Music No. 2] are a load of rubbish, yet they’re interesting from a collector’s point of view. Wybraliśmy się do bardzo starego Muzeum Instrumentów. Dowiedziałam się czym jest organolologia (ojciec założyciel Carl Sachs), czyli nauka o historii instrumentów i technologii ich wytwarzania. Można pograć sobie na keybordach MIDI imitującymi dźwięk licznych instrumentów klawiszowych, o których istnieniu nawet nie wiedziałam do dziś (np. fortepian prostokątny, harmonium, fisharmonia, organy trzcinowe (organ pump), czelesta, organetto i wiele, wiele innych), można obejrzeć wnętrza instrumentów, posłuchać sobie improwizujących dookoła ludzi. Pierwszy raz w życiu zobaczyłam theremin i usłyszałam na żywo jego specyficzny dźwięk. Dużo też retro sekwencerów i syntezatorów, z czasów Kraftwerka, bardzo czillowe i przyjemne niedzielne popołudnie 😊
