This Mercedes GLE AMG came to us with a complaint of excessive bounciness and a suspension failure error on the dash. As it turned out, both issues were triggered by a failure of the electronically adjustable rear shocks failure. We're replacing both the rear shocks and also addressing a minor coolant leak. What exactly is an electronic shock/strut? As the name suggests, electronic shocks use electronic inputs from ABS, ESP, accelerometer, ride-height sensor, steering sensor, etc. to actively adjust compression and rebound of the shock, thereby minimizing issues like nosedive under braking, torque steer, and under steer. Just like conventional shocks, they could fail if there is a gas or oil leakage. Electronic shocks can also fail if the external connectors get damaged, causing a short or open circuit. . . . . #mercedesbenz #mercedesamg #gleamg #electronicshock #shockabsorber #suspension #service #maintenance #repair #dealeralternative #mechanic #fixingcars #onecaratatime #autoshop #autorepair #germangarage #germancars #luxurysuv #manandmachine #justkeepdriving (at Man & Machine) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cal_0etPrpv/?utm_medium=tumblr
