Mushroom Goat Cheese Tarts - Easy Elegant Appetizer
You can serve these vegan caramelized fig crostini as an elegant starter or a tasty snack. The sweet figs, sour vegan cream cheese, and fragrant thyme all work well together to make a delicious dish.
Ingredients: 8 fresh figs, halved. 2 tablespoons maple syrup. 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 1 baguette, sliced into crostini. 1/2 cup vegan cream cheese. 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 190C 375F. Put olive oil, maple syrup, and balsamic vinegar in a small bowl and mix them together. Butter and maple syrup the fig halves and place them on a baking sheet with the cut side up. Add pepper and salt. Figs should be roasted in a hot oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until they are soft and caramelized. Toast the baguette slices until they are just barely golden while the figs are roasting. Each crostini slice should have vegan cream cheese spread on it. You can put a roasted fig half on top of each crostini. If you want, you can add more chopped thyme and salt and pepper. Serve right away and enjoy!
