don't think about the hug in 6x01 after Sherlock told Joan about his PCS, and the hug in 7x13, after Sherlock found out about Joan's cancer. don't think about how Sherlock didn't want her to hug him. don't think about how he must have found some comfort in the hug, because when faced with a similar situation, with their roles reversed, his way of comforting her was hugging her. and don't think about how Joan tried to stop him because she knows how he feels about hugs, but he didn't let her push him away. don't think about any of it because you will end up a crying mess on the floor like I am right now.

nairobiwonders replied to your post: Another season, another round of Elementary...
OMG thank you! That drove me up the wall. I screamed WHAT THE HELL!!! I’m on vacay and can’t devote a full post about it. Thank you for speaking for me - guest room indeed!!!
I’m so proud. ::sniff::
Elementary Season 6 Promo - the sixth season of Elementary premieres Monday April 30th on CBS.
Yeah, that is very straight, Joan. Absolutly straight
I know many people do not like straight Sherlock, but at least Elemenetry isn’t taking it TOO seriously
Another season, another round of Elementary timeline and floor plan inconsistencies! I’ve got all your truly important questions about An Infinite Capacity for Taking Pains covered right here.
1. Why in the world would Watson refer to Sherlock’s room as “the guest room”?!? Why would Sherlock call it that as well?!?!?!? TWICE! This is not just a writer's mistake: How could Liu and Miller and the director and everyone else on the production crew who spend more time on this set than in their own homes let this travesty happen?
[I've got a few posts dedicated to the question of Sherlock's room, but I'll link to the first, which was sparked by that time the writers referred to this room as his bedroom. Way back in season 1. and I’ll also add that for all the confusion folks have had about Sherlock’s bedroom because the the room that’s obviously his doesn’t have a bed (except that one time it did as discussed in that link), it really doesn’t make sense to me to call a bed-less room “the guest room.”]
2. Why is Sherlock's room still trashed? I don’t mean just the broken doors but also the broken bits of everything on the floor. The s5 finale made it clear that he hallucinated the fire later the same day as Shinwell's funeral, just after Watson finally broke down and confronted him about his behavior. And in 601, she said he'd been avoiding her for weeks since that confrontation. At the very least, while I hope for Ms Hudson’s sake that she’s moved on to better things than being ignored by the show for years, in that case I’d also expect that they would have found someone else to take on that job.
3. When Sherlock said he was going to go to sleep (rather than talk about his reaction to the noise at the construction site) and walked out of the Lock Room, where did he go? We next see Watson contemplating his wrecked room just before Marcus called to tell her Sophie was dead. I have to assume she wouldn't have flipped on the light if he was snoozing among the detritus... For now I'll assume he laid his weary head on the bosom of his true love, the red velvet couch.
