I want to talk about my pov on this scene specifically, regardless of it being one of my favorite scenes in the second season (because Tom performed it)

First, Aegon nodded, a gesture that shows the other person that he is interested, listening and will try to understand them, and it is very touching because Aegon wasnt raised in an environment that cares about listening to him and there was no healthy dialogue with healthy gestures. Secondly, his tone of voice was soothing and reassuring, even though Aegon is a noisy person, he is trying to become a king close to his people. He is really trying. And what I noticed and was amazed by was how his smile disappeared after the word (your king), i think that he remembered the huge burden that his grandfather and mother had placed on his shoulders, He knows this is not his place. He should have been listened to when he refused the position, just as he listens to his people.

On the one hand you have people who can’t suspend disbelief. On the other you have people who lack patience for characters that behave in a way they dislike. I can’t stand the latter. You won’t be able to enjoy most media if you cannot step away from your own prejudices and follow the story of someone you may never’ve been able to stand in real life.
