Happy 10th Birthday to Up! released May 29, 2009 🏠🎈

During Pixar Playtime at Tokyo Disney Sea, Russell, Carl and Dug were featured in the Pixar Playtime Pals show 🎭 Russel and Carl’s House was also part of various games and activities that were available around the Park 🧩

I adore this movie and Carl and Ellie’s Theme is one of two songs that can make me tear up straight away (the other being Baby Mine from Dumbo 😭)

My brain: Remember when Carl and Ellie were looking at the clouds and they started seeing babies, and then they tried for one and she ended up having a miscarriage?

I love Up to bits but sometimes I wonder...how cool would it have been for it to be about an old lady whose husband just died and a young girl who accidentally is on the porch when the house takes off. Because even though my love for this film is great, it always annoys me that Ellie is pretty much the only female character, and she's dead within the first 15 minutes.

Character: Ellie Fredricksen from Pixar's UP. { I was hoping I'd be able to play her as her youngish-adult self; not her child or elderly self. }

Experience: I've been roleplaying a ton of Disney characters { Including Minnie Mouse, Ellie, and Alice Liddell } for about 2 years now.

Timezone: Eastern.

*Note: I realize this group is without a Carl, but if possible, I'd like to keep Carl and Ellie married c:

Writing sample: 

“Let’s get a move on, 'ya slow poke!”

The redhead faced the enormous hill topped with a magnificent oak tree. Ellie Fredricksen began her trek uphill; small steps turned into a swift sprint. Picking up the bottom of her yellow sundress and holding onto her picnic basket, Ellie felt the incline of the hill steepening. Reaching the top, she triumphantly set down the wicker basket and turned to the bottom of the hill. There stood her husband, slowly yet surely making his way towards the top.

Just seeing Carl’s face brought a warm smile to Ellie’s face. They had grown up together; been there for each other through everything. From the scraped knees to finding a last-minute Prom date, the two were nearly joined at the hip. He was her childhood, her love, and her future. Ellie shook her head with a soft smile, dismissing the nostalgia for reality.

“Beat’cha to it, Carl,” Ellie teased, admiring Carl's willpower (even if he only was half way there). “Now you owe me a Coca-cola.”
