Do you think if your Fallen Hero OCs were in DA and your DA OCs were in Fallen Hero they'd stay the same (personality and development-wise) or do you think the different plot and universe would make them different?

I def think they would be very different characters, but have a lot of the same core personality traits. Generally Pollux wouldn’t have so much ingrained self hatred and anger over his situation if he was in the DA universe. He would still be frustrating, difficult to work with and stubborn, but not to the degree he is in the fhr universe. He’s got a good bit of that to start with just being who he is, but his circumstances certainly haven’t helped him be more open and authentic. 

He’d be more of a troublemaker rather than an outright person who causes a great deal harm to people like he does when he’s a villain.

And Darva....oh boy, he’d be such a disaster in the FHR universe if he was sidestep. He’d def be more empathetic and anonymous, but all of his insecurities about his sense of self and who is would be turned up to a thousand. His anxiety would be all over the place. He would hate the path he would be going down, but he wouldn’t be able to see another way to live and to be happy and to exist; his rival would most likely be his current self.

Also since I was thinking about it earlier today, but Pollux in the DA universe would be a city elf in Orlais, doing red jenny work. He doesn’t know where he was born and he’d been on the streets until he got in with the red jennies. They sorta took care of him from a young age and taught him everything he knows. Good with a bow and excellent at stealth. The sneaky and tricky sort of rogue.

I don’t know if you guys are still active (?), but I’ve just found this blog now and I’m upset I didn’t find you earlier. I’ve been feeling extremely discouraged because the DA fandom is insanely white and my OCs never get the love despite the love i put into them. I’m Filipina and all my OCs are also

I feel kinda silly submitting some of my stuff, but this feels like a safe space to do it and it’s the kind of blog I want to have my OCs in

Modern AU where Joyce and Aminah start dating. Quentin and Revka are excited to meet Joyce's gf so they invite her over for dinner. Imagine that dinner.

oh my god

joyce and aminah arrive at a spooky mansion

aminah is like “i watched a tim burton movie once.  i can handle goth”

she has no idea how goth things are going to get

they have to walk through a graveyard to get to the house.

aminah asks joyce who the graves belong to and joyce is just laughs it off and doesn’t explain

quentin and revka open the door and pull joyce and aminah into a giant group hug.  aminah’s like “hey, they seem nice.  their house is just in a weird location”

then she notices the taxidermied animals around the room.

revka notices that aminah notices them, but misinterprets her look of horror as a look of interest.  she then spends the next 20 minutes talking about her taxidermy hobby.

joyce summons a swarm of rats to take aminah’s coat, but tbh she’s used to that.

quentin tries to do the dad thing by embarrassing his daughter in front of her date by sharing childhood stories.  except his stories are all about her fascination with blood magic and rats.

joyce is like “haha dad stop it you’re embarrassing me” while aminah is horrified

aminah swears that one of the gargoyles tried to talk to her, but she doesn’t know how to go about confirming this

there’s a coffin in the corner of the room

over dinner, quentin and revka recite their wedding vows.  apparently they do this every night.

which would only be mildly creepy, except for the fact that their vows are bizarrely morbid and graphic.

quentin and revka do have a genuine conversation with aminah where they talk about how happy they are to see their daughter with someone who cares about her.

that talk was a brief oasis in a desert of creepy goth nonsense.

the coffin door opens, revealing joyce’s youngest sister.

aminah is like “oh thank god someone else” until she realizes that the girl’s name is corpse flower.

she turns out to be the most down to earth one there.

quentin offers to teach aminah blood magic

aminah is like “this is what the chantry warned me about”

orsino shows up and the studio audience applauds

orsino gets drafted into the dinner too.

aminah realizes that watching big fish (2003) didn’t prepare her for this
