What I realized when I started to get to know you: some crush just won't go away that easily. Yes, I've been crushing you for five years. I just find you not complicated. To All The Boys I've Loved Before List #8 Dear Mr. N.1 How are you? Well... I just want you to know that I am very blessed to meet you during my high school days. It was a bit frustrating that I was one of the wallflowers in campus. But I just want to take this opportunity to tell you what are the lessons I learned from your existence. I learned that when giving something, it should not be paid with expectations of another favor. Giving is not really something we expect to have in return. That is why I never regret the day you were jailed in Intramurals and my last Php 10 in my pocket was your ticket to get away. I know you are thankful for that. That is why the next day, you also saved me from the same cell. The stupidest part that I just made was the failed expectations of you talking to me after that. What I do usually in high school was unforgivable to myself right now. Because I regret the day I hold on to the notion your eyes giving me. Although, it's not your fault that many people will unjustly question your reasons, but I still like you even if you somehow take advantage of other girls' feelings. The lesson I've learned so far is a lot harder than the previous ones. The lesson wherein every girl should avoid loving guys like you. The reason why I liked you is one way why I am guarding my heart with so much fear and insecurity. It is to know that someone like you would read and appreciate my talents—drawing amd writing. You always borrow my Special A Class notebook and we talk a lot about the chapters, and what could've happened. I liked you because aside from being a good-looking guy, you are the neutral one.
