Do you have a head-canon for how Damian and Jason would get together in a non-ABO 'verse? *is curious*

Jason was Damian's sexual awakening. He was thirteen at the time, and for the longest time, Damian was Jason sexual. He watched Jason uphold all the virtues his father and grandfather claim as their mission statement, all the while never losing his humanity or kindness, like his father and grandfather did.

It's inevitable that Damian would fall for him. At first, it was a silly crush. Something he knew he just had to wait out. He'll get over it when his heart catches up to his superior brain he tells himself. These are just teenage hormones floating about in his body and messing his body chemistry.

But then he finds out why Jason inspires such loyalty in those who really know him.

Damian has seen Jason put down a child trafficker with extreme prejudice one minute and the next minute, he's gently comforting the victims. He sees how much Jason cares for the people he's fighting to save and how hard to he works to make sure they know they're safe and will never be victimized again.

For Damian, Jason is the ideal. He has hobbies that other guys would consider a threat to their masculinity, but Jason doesn't care. Damian wants to be like Jason. He wants to be able to cry when he's sad, do what he enjoys and not always be the strong one in his friend group all the time, without being judged for it.

So when Damian realized this crush has grown into something fierce, there was only one thing to do. He is a Wayne and an al Ghul. They always got what they want.

Damian pulled out all the stops - short of confessing - to communicate how he feels to Jason. From gifts he knows Jason would appreciate (like books and weapons) to having running missions together. Sometimes, the missions took them out of Gotham.

But even if Jason wasn't the most oblivious man in the universe, Damian is still a child and he would never see the brat as anything more. So when Damian suddenly decided he wanted support street art/performances with him, Jason thought it was because the brat was bored. At least he didn't criticize it much, and what criticism he did have was usually helpful.

When the brat started asking for his assistance more on missions, Jason went because despite his obvious skills, someone had to keep an eye on the brat. The kid was good company when he's not being a prickly little shit.

After months of getting nowhere, Damian gives up. Damian may be mature for his age but Jason is never going to see him as anything other than a kid. It hurts, but he understands that it's part of what makes Jason who he is. He would be a hypocrite if he killed pedophiles, while dating someone underage.

In the following years, they maintain a good relationship. Even when Damian had to leave Gotham and return to the League at the age of seventeen. Ra's al Ghul has gone unchecked for too long, the League is in disarray and Talia wants no part of the it. She refuses to be sucked back in.

His father did not agree with his decision to return. Dick understood why he was doing it, but he didn't approve of Damian's decision. He was worried Damian would fall into the same pitfall that Ra's fell into. After all, absolute power corrupts absolutely. They didn't want to have to meet the new Demon's Head on the field as an enemy. Jason made sure he knew what taking the position of the Demon's Head would entail, and that he was ready for it. He has no room. To judge anyone for choosing their path in life, but he needs to make sure Damian knew what he was getting into.

They didn't keep in touch for the next few years after Damian left Gotham. Steering the League back to the purpose they were created was a full time job for the new Demon Head, and the Red Hood is always busy, operating on a global scale now.

It's not until five years later, when Damian is twenty two and Jason is twenty eight that they see each other again. A threat arises that forces the Red Hood and the League to join forces.

Damian thought he had gotten over his first love. He's not prepared for the onslaught of emotions that attacked him at the sight of Jason.

This time, however, they're on equal standing. Both grown men and badasses in their own right. No way Damian will lose Jason again.

So, head-canon for who would win if all the Batboys were fighting over Female Jason?

Dick is Jay’s first crush. He doesn’t think anything about this thin little twig of a girl running around in his old suit at first. Not outside of being pissed at Bruce for giving away Robin, anyway. She’s just a girl. His little sister, maybe, in a way. 

But as she gets older, as she has real food -- good food -- for the first time in her life, as she starts to really bloom, he can’t help but take notice. She’s really pretty. Her hair starts to shine and her skin really glows with health. She just keeps getting prettier. 

Puberty is awkward for everyone involved. She gets soft.

She hates it. She’s not supposed to be soft. She’s Robin. 

But the fat she’s finally started to store on her body is there to protect her. Like it’s fucking supposed to. Her muscles aren’t any less dense, any less powerful for it. She’s just as strong, as her hips broaden and her breasts grow, and eyes start to linger just a little too long. 

But then she dies.

She comes out of the Pit half-mad and feral, a mess of instincts and rage and a mind so so open to poisonous words and twisted truths. 

Her training was all-inclusive. Talia would never let her out on the world without all of her weapons at her disposal -- that included knowledge of her body and charms.

Jay is Damian’s first crush. 

She was this unattainable beauty. He fell in love when saw her gut a man that dared to lay a hand on her without permission. This woman that would pat his head and kiss his hair and sing him to sleep when he had a nightmare, her perfume curling around him like a cloak. Who called him habibi and played with him when Mother wasn’t around. Who taught him to sneak to the kitchens and make cookies.

The only woman he measured against his mother and never found wanting.

The woman who disappeared when he was ten years old and he didn’t see again for two more years. 

He hid betrothal contracts, scratched out in his child’s hand, under his bed and hoped the maids didn’t betray him to his grandfather.

Robin was Tim’s first crush. Both of them.

He admired the first Robin’s grace and flexibility. His glee and quips in the face of danger. He admired the second Robin’s brutal practicality and efficiency. He watched her grow up alongside himself. He mourned her when she died.

He lived with her shadow while he trained to take over the mantle. The cloud that her death called over the manor and over Bruce. A part of him, a small part, started to resent it. No matter how much he tried not to. He saw how much her death hurt Bruce, hurt Alfred, hurt Dick. He hated it. 

When she came back, all that rage and pain directed at him and Bruce, he floundered. He didn’t understand it. Didn’t see it. But he had to. He had to fix things. Had to fix all of it. Bring things back together for all of them. Stop the cycle of pain. 

It hurt to see things from her point of view but he tried and in the end, it was worth it.

Tim was the one to bridge the gap -- to bring Jay and Bruce together again and kick start their resolution.

Things... get better. 

Slowly.

She laughed, and it lit up the room. She glowered and it sent a shiver down his spine. 

Tim noticed Dick watching, too. How both of their eyes would track her across the room as her hips sway.

But god she’s grown up. 

Then... Damian arrived.

The first thing Jay did was sweep him into her arms between her breasts and kiss his head. 

“I have missed you, habibi!”

The kid smirked.

A twelve-year-old should not be able to lust.

But the way the kid’s eyes followed her like Dick’s like Tim’s there’s no other possibility. 

It was war.

Gifts began to fall into Jay’s lap. Invitations to her favorite events tumbled from Tim and Dick’s lips. Damian attached himself to her side anytime they were under the same roof. She’d never been so spoiled. 

Or so oblivious.

She didn’t show any of them favor. She treated them all the same. Loved spending time with them and would tell them how much she enjoys her family bonding time.

Dick worked to step up his game, sweeping her off to London and Shakespeare at the Globe. Tim took her to Phantom of the Opera. Damian painted her a portrait of the family.

All of them were devastated when she came down to breakfast wearing one of Bruce’s shirts, the high collar doing little to cover a love bite, and Martha Wayne’s pearls draped lovingly around her throat.

Alphas are sniffing around a newly milking Jason. And Jason puts them off with, "My Alpha will kill you." And when one jerk says, "Don't see an Alpha," Jason grabs the cop walking past. Oh, crap! It's Dick! Well, there go Jason's secret revenge plans.

Jason is going to keep a low profile.

Jason is trying to keep a low profile.

That means he doesn't get to turn and snap at the alpha that's been following him for the past three blocks, no matter how much his rapidly-fraying temper begs him too.

"Come on, sweetheart, at least tell me where you're going in such a hurry," the alpha croons, all faux-enticement, calling to Jason like he already wears the alpha’s bite, like he belongs...

Jason doesn’t belong to any alpha, never (once) wanted to. He’s a lone omega and he’s proud of it, of rejecting the overwhelming narrative of every society he’s ever been in that says he needs an alpha, like he’s some delicate little wilting flower who’ll just fall to pieces if he has to use his brain for anything more strenuous than like, knitting, or something. 

But he can’t ignore the fact that having an alpha’d be really fucking useful right about now.

(Stupid fucking pre-heat, stupid fucking poorly-stocked safehouse, stupid fucking everything. Just one massive pile of shit swallowing up his entire fucking life.)

Jason gets a waft of tightly-leashed, polite, working-alpha scent, and then he spots the familiar uniform up ahead. Any alpha who’d pull themselves in so tightly while dressed like that’s gotta be one of Gordon’s, Jason’s dressed fairly well so they shouldn’t treat him like they usually treat Alley ‘megas, and he’s just so fucking (sick and tired and he misses his pack) done that he makes a snap decision.

“I’m going to meet my alpha,” he says, and with a tight burst of not-a-threat please-help omega scent, links his arm with the cop’s.

“What seems to be the problem here?” the alpha asks.

The cop asks.

Dick mother fucking Grayson asks.

Jason’s heart drops into his stomach. 

This is what he gets for daring to think for even a fucking second that he might be rescued get helped without paying for it in blood, he thinks in the one corner of his brain that isn’t just wordless screaming.

Another fucking load for the pile.

Puppy Love

Jason walked into the building, his body shivering from the cold. Or well, from his sopping wet clothing thanks to the unexpected downpour. Honestly, Jason wouldn’t have been on his bike if he’d known it would rain that afternoon.

A young woman stood up from behind the counter as he entered. “Can I help you, Sir?”

“Uh, yeah,” Jason began to unzip his black leather jacket. He pulled out a trembling, caramel colored puppy. “I want to make sure his lungs are clear or whatever. He was drowning when I found him.”

The receptionist’s large blue eyes widened at the sight. “Oh let me get a tech right away,” she grabbed the receiver and spoke in a quick but calm tone.

Within seconds a vet tech arrived and took the puppy from him. He was about to follow when he was handed a clipboard by the receptionist. “If you’re going to keep him, you’ll need to fill it out.”

Jason frowned and rubbed at the back his neck. He’d never really been one for pets. He grimaced. “Look lady, I just didn’t want it to die.”

The woman scowled before her face softened. She held out a hand to take back the clipboard. “I’m not judging you, I swear; I’m also not guilting you.”

“But?” Jason smirked, feeling uncomfortable, but not just from the soggy jeans. He was certain he was about to be both judged and guilted.

“Honestly, if no one claims him and the dog has pneumonia or something potentially lethal, it’ll be more cost effective to put him down. Especially considering his breed.”

Jason rolled his eyes. “His breed? But he’s a puppy. Everyone loves puppies.”

“Adoption isn’t always guaranteed, especially amongst the bully breeds! Your dog is a pit bull.” She pleaded. “Besides, it’s hard adopting out dogs here in Gotham. It may be determined that the dog is better off being euthanized.”

Jason growled low at the woman’s manipulation, especially since it was working. Why rescue him if the animal hospital would just put the poor thing down? Was she lying? She had to be.

Right?

He stared down at her empty hand and the clipboard in his. With a heavy sigh he turned away from her, sat down, and started filling out the information. He didn't have a lot of background on the puppy of course, but most of the questions pertained to Jason.

He did his best to ignore the woman’s triumphant and cheerful attitude as he tried to think up a name for the little guy. He didn’t want it to be stupid but he didn’t want to give it a human name either. He was so torn... the dog had been half dead when he found it in that old mop bucket on the street, barely able to keep its little snout above water.

Jason smiled as he settled on a name. He wrote it out before he could change his mind. Lucky Sonuvabitch Wilson. He wondered what dear old Dad would think of the animal. Jason might be twenty one, but Dad proved time and time again that home inspections could and would happen anytime the mercenary deemed necessary. Even if Jason was the cleanest of the four Wilson kids.

About an hour later, Jason was snoozing on the uncomfortable bench. He heard a man clear his throat and felt a gentle nudge to his boot. With an irritable sigh, he opened one eye to get a peak at whoever was bothering him.

Before him stood a remarkably handsome man in dark blue scrubs with shaggy, thick, straight black hair. The doctor’s eyes were a bright cerulean blue and his face... Jason couldn’t help the blush as he stared at delicately featured young man.

Weren’t all vets required to be ancient? The only time he’d seen a young hot vet was in shows like Grey's Anatomy or rom-coms. You know? Things Jason never, ever watched.

Like never.

“H-hi,” Jason stuttered.

“Good afternoon, I’m Dr. Dick Grayson, you’re the owner of the pitbull puppy?” The doctor openly smiled as he offered his hand.

“Yeah, I uh, I named him Lucky,” Jason said as he got to his feet and shook the doctors hand.

“That’s a very appropriate name,” Dick continued to bean as if he were some kind of ball of sunshine.

Jason would hate him for it if the blinding positivity wasn’t so damned attractive.

“You’re saying he’s going to live.” Jason assumed

“Yeah, Mr., uh...”

“Wilson, Jason Wilson,” he answered, sounding every bit like a Bond impersonator. “So, umm, I wasn’t planning to keep him and I don’t have cash or anything on me.”

“Well, we’ll need a deposit before you leave to get what you need,” the receptionist inserted.

Dr. Grayson frowned looking a little embarrassed. “Rule are rules,” he added.

“Scared I’ll ditch the bill and the dog now that I know he’s gonna live?” Jason chuckled, not at all bothered.

“Wouldn’t be the first time,” the receptionist threw in.

“Tell you what,” Jason said as he stripped out of his expensive leather jacket. “You keep hold of my jacket while I get my car and pick up some supplies for the dog. Trust me, this beauty is easily worth two, three hundred bucks.”

He wasn’t lying. His dad bought it for him on his last birthday. That and the bike that went with it.

“But you need it,” the vet shook his head and refused to take the offered jacket.

“It has stopped raining,” the receptionist pointed out helpfully. “I trust him.”

“Doc, I’ll be back, if for no other reason than to ask you to dinner.” Jason winked.

Dr. Grayson’s blush was all the hint he needed to tell him that the attraction was mutual. Jason handed him the jacket and grinned before he turned to leave.

“Better make it quick, Jason, I get off in an hour and I’ll leave with or without you and Lucky.”

For just a moment, Bruce allows himself to feel relief.

He begins cataloguing the facts immediately after that moment has passed, his brow drawn tight beneath the cowl as he looks Jason over.

Jason has abandoned his boots, and MacGyvered his grappling line into a belt to keep his pants up. The sleeves of the jacket have been awkwardly pushed up, freeing his dirty, scarred hands to cling to Batman's cape.

Furthermore, Jason is taller than he was the night that they met, but still small enough that he can only be classed as a child, thus confirming that he's been regressed to his time as Robin. Looking at the boy's hands again, his mind corrects that thought by adding or after it.

What's a film you've seen that you would recommend everyone should at least try? 💛💚❤️

I have been trying to think of underrated films that I love since you sent this and I... I’m just drawing a complete blank. I know I’ll suddenly be reminded of all kinds of things over the next couple days and even then.. they probably won’t be my favorite.

So, um... Pan’s Labyrinth is great. 

Oh! I would definitely suggest giving Pitch Black a chance.  It’s the first of the Chronicles of Riddick series (and truthfully, probably the only one worth watching). It’s billed as Horror/Sci-Fi and usually I hate horror. I’m a big ol’ baby about it. I’m not trying to convince anyone, because there are definitely elements that are horror but it was just exactly the right amount, done in just exactly the right way for me.

Yer not very smart, Ichigo,” Hirako Shinji muttered with a frown. “Ya thought I’d just let ya go?”

Kurosaki Ichigo scowled. “It’s not as if we have a choice, idiot.”

Her heart started racing as soon as she heard his silky smooth voice. Ichigo expected Shinji to see her off and had been severely disappointed when her boyfriend hadn’t shown up. She waited two hours for him to show up.

He sounded as if he’d gone for an afternoon stroll rather than say goodbye.

“I’m not dead yet. I still have to return to the Human World.”

Shinji snorted and clicked his tongue in annoyance. “Ya really don’t listen ta a thin’ that’s said, do ya woman? The old geezer never said when ya had ta return. Ya can stay as long as ya like.”

Ichigo flushed with anger and embarrassment. She hadn’t been paying that close of attention when talking with the old man. Shinji had been too close.

She’d felt his breath and smelled that ridiculous shampoo that he insisted on using ever since he deiced to grow his hair out again.

“Goat –Face will wonder where I am.”

“Nah. He won’t. I already told him I was keepin’ ya hostage until he accepted my demands,” Shinji said with as smirk as crooked as his bangs.

Ichigo sputtered. When had Shinji spoken to her dad? He wasn’t scheduled to venture to the human world for another two years. Far too long in her opinion.

Truthfully, she didn’t want to return to the human world. She wanted to stay in Soul Society. 

“What demands?” 

Shinji sighed at her blank look. “Ya really are an idiot. Why would I wanna keep ya?”

“Pervert!” Ichigo screamed, fist flying as she remembered what the Shinigami Women’s Association had teased her about earlier that day.

She flushed crimson as Matsumoto Rangiku’s drunken words resounded in her head.

Shinji cursed as he dodged. “Marriage you numbskull. Geeze. I wanna marry you.” His brown eyes narrowed on her red face. “What did ya think I meant?”

“None of your business! That was a horrible proposal. It doesn’t count,” Ichigo growled.

Shinji asked Isshin for permission to marry her and he refused. The thought brought sharp pain to her heart. She loved her dad but she loved Shinji more.

She blinked away tears when she realized that if she was forced to chose, she’d pick Shinji. 

“Stop cryin’ it wasn’t that bad of a proposal was it?” Shinji demanded.

Ichigo smacked him on the shoulder as tears rolled down her cheeks. She didn’t want to lose her family. She didn’t want to choose between them.

She wanted to be able to visit her dad, Yuzu and Karin, but she wasn’t willing to give up Shinji.

“Yes it was.”

Ichigo knew Shinji understood why she was really crying. He always understood her emotions better than she did.

“Shut up.” He pulled her against his chest and wrapped her in his arms. “I’ll do better next time.”

Ichigo nodded. They’d wait. Neither of them wanted to put off their wedding, but they would wait until Kurosaki Isshin was ready to give his beloved daughter away.

Until then, she’d stay in Soul Society.
