I have mixed feelings towards the Elf Queen's Daughters' after reading some of their letters, but it is admittedly cool knowing that being queer and queering gender norms is something that alterhumans* have been doing since the 1970s. (Disclaimer: There is some intersexist language used in The Androgonous which I have not included but would like to acknowledge that it still exists).

"We like and are like both female and male. [...] We seek a complete unity of sexuality within one person-Elf .. The High Priestess and the Magus, intertwined intrinsically ... Multi-faceted, multi-character-ed, both woman and men, yet really neither." [...] "Our Elven Peoples know that sex is not as simple as defining a person's gender. We see that a person's attitude and manner have much more to do with one's sex, in reality, than do the shape of their genitals." "Elves have commonly been seen as rather androgynous individuals, and we do now and have in the past had transsexuals among us. Most elfin, but certainly not all, tend to be bi-sexual in nature' (The Silver Elves, pg. 117 of Elf Magic Mail Book 1.)

*('Alterhuman' used here in the way we call historical figures 'queer' even if they didn't use that word for themselves)

This is hard to explain. But I feel drawn to the idea of a round city. It’s like my elf self was there but that’s impossible. I do not believe in having another life or a past life but the one I do have in this body. The round city had popped in my head months maybe even a year ago or so. I even tried to draw what my minds eye imagined. I do know that Baghdad did used to have one a long long time ago. But I don’t know where this feeling came from. It’s like my elf self belongs there but it doesn’t make sense how that could be.

I just opend a new Otherkin discord server! The intent of it is to feel like the early kin community, we have a focus on Elves, dragons, unicorns, faries, Angles, Gods and other magical/mythical beings.

I made this server because i feel like the otherkin community is slowly fading away, alterhuman spaces are dominated by therians, pushing otherkins fully aside. I want to preserve this community and offer a space for us, just us, fantastic and magical creatures.

today I went to a renaissance fair in goth getup and saw several people of all ages wearing animal masks, tails, and/or ears. I also got to try on a pair of elf ears, and generally felt more connected to my elven side today than I've been in too long. I got the seller's business card, and it turns out Aradani sells horns that look like mine too!

near the end of the day, I tried on a three-horned headband and noticed I'd turned quite red from the sun. hey, kin affirmation is kin affirmation lol
