Hiding out in plain sight .
The hotel pool at this Embassy Suites is pretty nice, but I was kind of surprised to see that it was advertised as heated when it definitely wasn’t! It’s possible that they turn off the heat once the summer hits, which would make sense, but I was grateful to have my rash guard on to help keep me warm in addition to the UPF protection.
The pool deck is pretty understated--not a ton of chairs or tables--but they had a nice little area where you could play corn hole which was a nice touch. I also liked that I could monitor any problematic clouds while I was getting my workout in, and I only encountered one moment where I had to get out of the water and stand under my umbrella while the rain came through for all of five minutes. Given that we saw a decent amount of rain on this trip, that wasn’t too shabby!

Seattle zen adventure
To wrap up our Seattle Adventurer series, we ended our trip at the Seattle Japanese Zen Garden, then took a trek back to the city to check out Gas Works Park which is a former Seattle Gas Light Company gasification plant with amazing views of the Skyline and of course the space needle. Dear Gus & Baby #2,
We threw this end-of-2020 script together in two days and we worked on it until the words were coming out of our mouths, but I think it’s going to turn out alright.
Right before we started filming today, Mom called to talk about whether she should get the COVID vaccine--she’s slated to be in the next round of vaccinations. She would get it without question if she weren’t pregnant, but there haven’t been any studies on how it affects pregnant women. She called Audra (who got the vaccine Tuesday), who called a friend in obstetrics at UAMS. They both said they would get the vaccine if they were her, so we agreed she should go ahead and get it.
Gus stayed with Grandpa & Tutu today while I was in Oklahoma and Mom worked. Bryan and I are staying in Oklahoma City tonight and headed to take a drone photo of an old bridge in Bridgeport in the morning, then driving to Tulsa to shoot an interview, then home.
Dad.

Our hotel had a pretty fantastic view.
