My newly organised thread boxes! 🧵 If ANYONE has any suggestions for how to organise DMC threads by shade whilst also keeping the number system relatively normal please let me know 😅 I'm doing a lot of cross stitch at the moment so I've put them all in number order. So. Much. Thread. 🧵😲 I think I have a bit of a problem (bear in mind this tub is 30cm deep) 😬😅 I have all these colours, (and more), and the ones I need to finish my Sopranos piece, I don't have, so I just treated myself to some new bobbins, storage boxes and the elusive threads from DMC, (which I probably do have but can't find 🙄). Rollin' out these dots! I realized I've slacked on putting updates on here for the Kawaii Pop Bastet build. The jewelry is two pieces from done, so I'll wait to post up until that's 100%. In the meantine, appliqué for the blouse!! . . . My original top was such a sad sight XD all the dots on that one were painted on. I'm so glad this time around that I have an embroidery machine so I can actually make the dots look proper. I've wanted to stitch this up for a while, always kept putting it off. As soon as I get a better embroidery software, I'll likely redo this. . . . For those that don't know (or might have forgotten) this is one of Bayonetta's wings from the game. They come out and flutter when you jump, and my mom always coined me as a butterfly when I was in Kwahadis. I gotta admit... I feel pretty dumb not realizing that these buttons existed on my machine until now! Had I know what they did, I would have spared myself much heartache. Oh! Old me is dumb and the now me knows that these are live-savers. You'd think by now I'd sit and read an instruction manual before using a machine. . . . Originally, when a thread would snap and I'd be away (not paying attention to my machine), I'd end up tossing out whatever pieces I was trying to make. These buttons let me backtrack by stitch(es) and by thread change! No more trashed projects here! I can also repeat "layers" so I can marathon a single patch style on all 4 hoops instead of going through all 11 thread color changed per individual piece. . . . #sewing #embroidery #seamstress #sewingproblems #embroideryproblems #seamstressproblems #suchislife #learnsomethingnew
