It's design time! 🧵💻 This part of the process looks simple, but there's a lot of calculations involved, as well as having my threads close by so I can ensure the colours I'm putting into the pattern are the ones I need for the final piece! Once the pattern is finished I then need to make it, check it and enter any adjustments back into the pattern. This is a photo of my current working space 😅 It's actually a rather lovely laptop tray which, as bizarre as it may seem, is one of my current prized possessions! It has a cupholder, and a neat little slot for my tablet when I'm watching tutorials online, (I make a point of regularly learning something new to improve my craft, because there is always something new to learn!) And yes - I do have nerdy Fringe wallpaper on my tablet 😅 Everything you see, from my social media posts to my finished projects, are created on or around this tiny space, so sometimes when things are delayed slightly, like my website updates, it's because I'll be using the space for projects I'm working on. My 'desk' is the reason I never photograph my "creative space" - because this space that I work in is also the space I eat, sleep and live. The reason I'm showing you this is to let you know that no matter what size space you have, or where you are, you can still find ways to be creative and work toward your dream. Ultimately, my dream right now is just to have some space of my own where I can put more than one idea into action at the same time! Dreams and ambitions can change and adapt - sometimes you need to set smaller goals in order to be able to get to the big one, and there's nothing wrong with that.
