RIPIP 2013

I see so many people talking about how 2013 was a shit year, or a weird year, or a year where nothing really happened. I don't get that. I'm just one guy, but a lot of shit happened to me this year.

I graduated high school

I had my one-year music anniversary

I turned 18 (which isn't proving to be a massive milestone for me, but it's definitely a thing that happened)

I went to Bronycon and finally met a lot of awesome people in person (Ibe, Flowny, Legion, etc.)

I released another album

I joined a music collective and appeared on its first compilation album

I started college

I helped form two bands

I performed with a band for the first time

I contracted the animes really fucking hard, culminating with a trip to San Francisco (about four and a half hours from where I go to school) with my friends to watch Rebellion

I met a lot of awesome people (Grant, Nico, Massi, etc.)

And that's just what I can come up with off the top of my head. Sure, there was plenty of weird shit, but when isn't there? I had a hell of a year. That said, there's nothing that makes me think 2014 can't be better, but I just wanted to take a minute and reflect on what did happen. I'd have an absolutely fucked sense of perspective if I didn't think 2013 was an important year.

So RIPIP 2013. It's definitely laid a great foundation for 2014.

Alright, now I just need to get my summer planned out, help Rhyme Flow organize Otherpalooza, and hope I'll have enough time when I get back to get everything packed and off to college :3
