Got inspired by the kinshift ask tbh
I'd say my favorite experience I could call a kinshift happened one night when I had gone way too long without sleep. Still, I felt like writing - about memories, about everything - and I did. I wrote a lot. I eventually went to sleep but in the morning the words felt both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. I wrote them, Steph wrote them, and we are one in the same. It felt real and it felt true and I'll always love writing.
Also, sometimes I'll be driving and the right song will come on and I'll just feel so connected to... something. I'm not quite sure what but it's definitely kinshift-y. Those are always fun.
I would like to sincerely apologize for taking so long to respond to your ask. Hearing about writing helped you better understand your identity as Stephanie, and how you experience it as a kinshift, especially with how difficult it can be to define and understand what a kinshift is as a fictionkin or fictive. For the songs that bring you that sense of familiarity– Do you ever go back to catalogue them? If so, I’d be interested in hearing about what songs gave you kinshifts and how they made you feel in general.
