The local Subway has an emilyinyellow doppleganger. I was trying to snap a picture, but I would've looked like a creeper. Then as we were leaving someone called her Emily. Freaky.
thank you emily
Hi Tumblr!
Yep, I am here....finally. It just took some pushing and prodding and more pushing and more prodding, but the BFF got me here. Yippee! I am sure it's gonna take me a bit to get the hang of this, so give me some time and I'll get with the tumblin soon enough!
And also a thank you to the happily married couple for a fabulous weekend. The food was great, hospitality was gracious and the new friends are hilarious and quite entertaining (to say the least!) Thanks for taking in the outsiders - we certainly bonded and enjoyed making memories with yall!
On a side note, the Hubbs wants some suggestions for his username...suggestions?!

You have our sympathies.
What about art gets forgotten in people's haste to claim personal achievements?
I think people risk losing the original impetus when distracted by accolades. This may be the reason so many bands have a sophmore slump. The makers must make for themselves. Sure they shape their visions for their audience, but to retain integrity they must always keep themselves firmly in the center of the audience. I have a photograph of starburst candy with nine thousand something notes due to judicious tagging and everyone's general love of candy. I'm not tempted to recreate this with nice colorful pictures of candy for all the little kiddies to put on their tumblrs. Rather, I try to shoot what I want to see. I am almost tempted to retire once my post hits 10,000 notes. I think I kind of got off topic and made this about me, when it really isn't. I think there's basically a danger in losing the actual art in an attempt to imitate one's previous glories. The moon, not the finger pointing at the moon.
What do you accept about others?
I try to accept everything(though it's hard at times), about everyone. Anything else is counterproductive. The only way to really affect others is by example. Even intolerance of intolerance is still intolerance. This was a good question. Thanks Emily.
What is worth being brave for?
I'm not a very brave person. Most of the time I perform acts of bravery because I am too fed up with how I think things are being handled. When I am in pain, I will find the strength to overcome my fears. I will appear courageous, but only out of not thinking something through. I will act on instinct, rather than assessing the situation. When I feel backed into a corner, I will find the courage to get out.I guess it takes a lot of courage to dress up in drag and run around town, or on stage. Drag has acted like a mask or costume that I could put on. That's why I always thought superheroes were cool. How exciting to live a double life. Some people use the anonymity of the internet to be brave. Like a catholic going to confession, it is easier to reveal things about who we are behind the screen. Some people are fearless because they have confidence in themselves. They are not afraid of heights, because they are confident that they won't fall. I don't know how to change that about myself. If you have any ideas, let me know.
