21. What would it take for them to break up with someone? What would be the last straw?
Emoc : Mmm… Truthfully, I don’t think there would be anything thats “the last straw”. The only reason he really broke up with Alec was Samuel going “wow, okay, thats a really fucked up relationship”. Emoc just doesn’t have a grasp on when someone is hurting him in any way other than physically in some capacity. He just misses the social cues for most people’s anger, malice and verbal berating. People have also insulted him so casually throughout most of his life, so he just doesn’t get offended- especially when it gets to how he acts and looks.
Samuel : It’s fun to include him even though he would never date for love ✨ Final straw for him would be putting him in harms way. Whether that be abuse or a dangerous job, he’s particularly keen on keeping himself healthy and safe. I’d say he might also break up with someone for petty reasons too tbh. If his partner teased him about his appearance in any capacity, the relationship would probs be over.
I didn’t really??? Include a whole lot in this ask bc?? Mostly everyone has a head on their shoulders when it comes to dating. Sure they have their own small boundaries, but I think most of my ocs wouldn’t break up w/ someone unless they 1) lost feelings in some capacity or 2) were being actively abused and manipulated.

break: What would cause your OC to break down completely? What do they look like when that happens? Has anyone ever seen them at their lowest?
Samuel : NON-CANONICALLY, The loss of his Chosen Brother Noah and his moms. Samuel is already a functioning alcoholic as is, so if he loses any of the three, let alone ALL of them (which is how it happens in canon- think “death comes in threes” type thing), he is TOAST. Like he is going down the spiral. But in canon that doesn’t happen. I would say Rodger has definitely seen him at his worst tho.
Emoc : The loss of Samuel might just kill him LMAO. He’s a wee bit codependent on Samuel, and while Im confident he could function without Samuel, it would be devastating. He would probably stop grinning, act somewhat normal (maybe even depressed), sluggish and sad. He’d probably drink more too.
Charles : He would probably lose his mind if Rodger got hurt or died in some capacity. Rodger means a hell of a lot to Charles- most importantly, he’s a huge support and father figure. Chatles would probably react to Rodger’s death like if someone lost their parent they had a good relationship with. There’s a Rodger-shaped hole in his heart, and if he lost him, it would be like losing a part of himself, in a way. Iykwim.
Rodger : Any of his friends dying, but more importantly, his son. If Kaz died, he would be heartbroken. You hear of people dying of a broken heart- well Im p sure that would happen if his son died. He loves Kaz so much- he’s done so much to protect and take care of the literal angel. Kaz was born (more like hatched) when Rodger was, like, 17, and Kaz was a big factor in him escaping the life he had atp. Kaz saved his life in a lot of ways. I think close second would be Samuel, since he sees him much like a son, AND Samuel is the same age as Kaz (so it really lines up in his brain). Im sure you’d be able to tell if someone he loved died- I dont think he’d relapse or anything, but he would probably be super depressed. Like no motivation, no hope, nothing.

Emoc : I think he would be up for polyamory, but Im not sure he would ever have the opportunity to be in one relationship, let alone multiple. He’s not exactly the most charming and attractive people, and he doesn’t seek out relationships of that variety after Alec (tho Im sure he could find the right person- they would just have to be healthy).
Samuel : Monogamous ONLY. He’d be wicked possessive if he got into a true romantic relationship. He probably wouldn’t verbalize it, but he’s the kind of guy that says his partner is “[theirs]” iykwim.
Charles : Monogamous as well, but I do think he would open to try polyamory in the sense of his partner having other partners. It’s just so hard for him to get interested in people, let alone open up to them in any capacity, so he doesn’t think he’d be attracted to multiple people.
Rodger : Monogamous strictly. With no wiggle room. He’s not necessarily “old school” but he definitely wants just one partner and to eventually get married.
Absynth : Polyamorous in its fullest definition. He’s pretty confident, so he thinks he can pull (which he can, but even if he didn’t, he’s think that). By extension, anyone he chooses to see is capable of getting multiple partners in his eyes. Not possessive or anything.
Jakk : Im including him for one reason- sexual relationships. Not only is he the god of fertility, but also sex. So he’s out doing his thing. He’s really polyamorous when it comes to sexual relationships. As long as someone knows there’s no romantic feelings involved, he’s more than willing to see them consistently. If he were to get any sort of romantic feelings for someone, it would also be polyamorous bc he wouldn’t change his sexual habits for anyone.
Flip : Monogamous and fiercely loyal to Melissa. He’s not necessarily the “wife guy” iykwim, but he’s definitely not quiet about his love for her. I don’t think he could ever be polyamorous.
Im surprised I don’t have more polyamorous characters. Very strange, but a good 90% of the gods are polyamorous so that makes up for it /j

Emoc : He’s the trivia guy. U mention something you like in passing and it’s in his permanent memory. It could be a relatively unknown b list movie or the most obscure reference, and he will remember it. And YES. He does “use it against” you. In the nicest ways possible. Something is your favorite color, and it’s something wildly obscure you mentioned? Favorite special edition vinyls? You will find it in your possessions randomly.
Samuel : Doing Chores for someone- but especially baking. I used to headcanon that he was a TERRIBLE cook, but I honestly think he would know how to bake- There is a huge difference between the two in his mind, and it shows in his food LMAO

Emoc : You’d assume he’s got at least one body under his belt BUT YOU WOULD BE WRONG! He’s never had to or really wanted to kill someone. I think he would, but the circumstances would be very specific. However, with Alec, he definitely broke his heart. Like 110%.
Samuel : Head in hands,,, so it begins- Yes! He has killed before. Multiple times, actually, BUT I WONT GET INTO IT… Never broken hearts or anything otherwise.
Charles : Yep! He’s killed before too, but Id have to go over the story™️ that lead to what happened. He also hasn’t broken any hearts
Rodger : Probably the one oc with the most bodies, but like charles, I would have to go over the events that led to him doing so iykwim? You’d never even assume he had killed anyone- He just really turned his life around (particularly for his son Kaz). Never broken hearts, only mended them /hj/.
Igor : Ive been avoiding talking about Igor bc he isn’t particularly my favorite, but he’s another one of those ocs that you would think he’s killed, but no. He doesn’t date or anything, so hes never had an opportunity to break a heart.
Zander : You already know this but… yea, ofc he has. He’s got lore behind each one bc he doesn’t exactly kill to kill, if that makes sense? It’s his twisted view on protection. Never broken hearts either tho

midnight: What keeps your OC up at night? Do they have nightmares? Fears? Anxieties? What do they do in the small hours of the morning when they should be sleeping?

Emoc : He avoids sleep until his body physically pushes him to pass out bc every time he sleeps, he gets really horrific nightmares from past traumas. Emoc has those deep eye bags for a reason LOL. He’s not afraid of a lot, except for heights and SPECIFICALLY Zander. Otherwise, he’s got a bad concept of self preservation and will charge head first into anything with no fear. When no one is awake, and it’s just Emoc alone, it usually just sits there and thinks. He really doesn’t do anything. Emoc is usually sat at the end of his bed, legs off of it, hands in his lap, just staring into THE NOTHING. Iykwim. He doesn’t really have a ton of hobbies, and tech really confuses him in general, so yea. Processing time?
Rodger : Much like Emoc, he too has nightmares. Except Rodger’s nightmares are on a higher level than Emoc. Technically speaking, Rodger is half dream demon (a specific species I made- it’s not called that), so he is IN his nightmares. It’s not just that he’s experiencing a replay of the events, he is physically there, as if its reality. Think of reality, how it feels, and then imagine reality somehow feeling more real- Thats his dreams. So when he has his trauma nightmares, it really fucks with his mental health- So he too pushes his body to the point of passing out. He’s a generally worrisome and anxious person, but not necessarily fearful.
Zander : Went thru some pretty heinous shit as a kid and has nightmares about them. This is, however, NOT the cause of his insomnia and restlessness. He just has clinical insomnia NOT caused by trauma. I think if he had anything that “keeps him up at night”(metaphorically), it would have to do with a specific traumatic event between he and his brother.. since hes awake a good 85% of the time, he goes on a lot of night walks. All over the city, and because hes so confident in his self protection I mean ALL over.
Only doing these three bc everyone else sleeps very well at night.
