A Mystery Adventure Chapter 30
As me, Tepig, and Mabel were doing a request, we heard a voice. “Sixer? Kids? Where are you guys?”
“We’re right here Stanley.” I said as he turned his head to see us right in front of him. He hugged me.
“Sixer! Your okay! I was worried I lost you again.”
“Grunkle Stan!” Mabel said loudly as she tackled him to the ground.
“Mabel? Is that you?”
“Yep! It’s me.”
“I thought you were Dipper for a minute.”
“Really? Was it just because I’m a Klink?”
“Yeah I thought you would turn into a different Pokémon.”
“Well do you expect yourself to turn into a Sewaddle?” I said. “That’s not the point Stanford. Wait if Mabel is with you then is Dipper safe too?” Stan said.
“Yep! He’s safe.”
“Okay good. Wait who is this?” Stan said looking at Tepig. “Hi! I’m Tepig. I’m Ford’s new friend.”
“Well Tepig it’s nice to meet you. I’m Stanley, Ford’s twin brother.”
“Woah. That’s so cool.”
“Anyway what are you doing here Sixer?”
“I’m doing a job. Come on the sooner we complete this job the sooner you can meet everyone.” I said.
After we were done with the job, I called everyone over to the Paradise Center. “Hi everyone! I would like to introduce you all to my twin brother Stanley.”
“Welcome Stanley.” everyone said. “It’s nice to meet you all!” Stanley said. I could see Dipper in the crowd with tears of joy in his eyes. Soon enough night came so Tepig and me went to sleep.
“Mm…Ugh…Is this…a dream?” I thought. “HELP!!” a voice said loudly. “Aaaaaaahhh!” I screamed. I screamed so loud I jumped out of bed. “What…That was…Tepig…is still asleep…So it really was a dream, huh? That voice, though…The voice in that dream…It’s the second time I’ve heard that voice calling for help…The first time…was just before I came here to this world…Now that I remember it…Didn’t that voice say something about saving the Pokémon world?
I’ve come all the way here to this world…But I still don’t know what it is that I’m here for…I was hoping I’d figure it out if I stuck around for a while, but…But nothing’s happened so far…But…I did have that dream, at least…Maybe that voice will be able to give me some hint as to why I’m here…But that Munna was calling for help…I wonder if she’s still even OK…I hope so. But I wouldn’t have heard her voice if she wasn’t OK…right? Then I guess maybe she’s still being chased, huh…I’ve got to find a way to help her.” I thought.
The next morning, I was already awake with Tepig got out of bed. “Huh? Ford…You’re already up?” he said to me. “Yeah.” I said.
“I get it. You wanted to get this exciting day started sooner, right?”
“The truth is actually just that I couldn’t sleep a wink after that but worrying about it won’t help anything. I guess I can’t do anything but wait until I get some kind of new clue. If that dream really is the key to understanding everything…then maybe I’ll be able to see something more next time.” I thought.
“At any rate, hope it’s a good morning! Let’s give it our all again today!”
“Ok!” I said.
The next morning as me and Tepig exited our house, we saw Dunsparce. “Huh? Dunsparce? What is it?” said Tepig. “Tepig! Ford! Please come with me to Post Town right now! You can see the mirage from up on the hill!” said Dunsparce.
“Wha-? A mirage? You mean…like when you see something in the air that isn’t there?”
“That’s right. Apparently this one can be seen from Post Town from time to time…but I heard from the others that it’s really clear this time! The clearest it’s ever been! Everyone else is already up on the hill.”
“Oh, cool! Well, of course we wanna see it, too! Ford! Let’s go check it out!”
“Right!” I said. We arrived at the hall where many Pokémon are including my family and Fiddleford. “Whoa. Look how many Pokémon are here already…” said Tepig. “Oh! You guys made it.” said Emolga. “Hey great uncle Ford!” said Dipper. “Hey guys!” I said back. “Dipper was waiting for you to get here. He was running back and forth once we got to the hill.” Mabel said. “Well you were doing too.” Dipper said.
“Well that was after you started to run. You did say ‘I so excited for great uncle Ford to get here I could just run!’ and you ran. So I ran too.”
“It sounds like both of you were excited for me to get here.” I said.“Hi everyone!” Tepig said.“Hey Tepig!” said Mabel.
“How did you guys know about the mirage anyway?”
“Emolga told us about it.” said Stan. “It’s over there. You can see it pretty clearly, huh?” said Emolga. “Wow! It’s beautiful! There’s a huge mountain floating in the air!” said Dunsparce. “Wait that’s a mountain?!” How is that even possible?” Stan said. “It’s actually an optical illusion Grunkle Stan. This mirage makes this mountain look like it’s in the air but it’s most likely on the ground like any other mountain.” Dipper explained. “Well optical illusion or not it’s still very pretty.” said Mabel. “Yeah, it looks like a mountain of pure white…What could it be?” said Tepig. “It’s the Great Glacier in the north.” Virizion answered. “The Great Glacier?” I asked.
“There are huge glaciers that fill the ocean far in the north. I’ve only seen them myself from atop a mountain near the oceanside, but…The magnificent sight of that huge glacier was truly…awe-inspiring.”
“That’s amazing! I want to go see it, too!” said Dunsparce. “Yeah! Sounds awesome. What kind of place would it be? The Great Glacier…It’s kinda exciting, right?” said Tepig. “There are all kinds of rumors about what might be waiting there…Jewels made of ice…A legendary Great Crystal…But it’s all just rumors and speculation, you know?” said Virizion. “Why is that?” asked Dunsparce.
“Because no one has ever gone to the Great Glacier. Or that’s…what they say…There are vast crevasses that make it impossible to reach the Great Glacier. And because the mysteriosity is so great there…the crevasses change unpredictably and no one can even map them.”
“So the crevasses are like a Mystery Dungeon right?” I asked.
“Mostly yes. Anyway if you try to fly over the crevasses to get there, a freezing wind pushes you back.”
“That bad, huh…I guess there’s no way we could make it someplace like that. Not how we are now. But-! I still wanna go there someday! To the Great Glacier!” said Tepig. “Yes!” said Dunsparce. “Heh! That’s right!” said Emolga. “We’ve gotta keep training and get stronger! Come on! Let’s get to work!” said Tepig.
How to catch an emogla:
Step 1: emoglas are known for their love of food, so put a fresh bowl out.
Step 2: wait patiently...
Step three: full on sprint to the nearest poke stop they are at. Cause that’s where their gonna be.
My (very late) gymsona! My gym would be electric type and our mascot would be a shiny scolipede.
Hero: Did Partner just tell me they love me for the first time?
Emolga: Yeah, they did.
Hero: ...And did I do finger guns back?
Emogla, hand on their shoulder: Yeah, you did.
