me thinking to myself about how EMS changed me as a person and I don't mean in the way of "oh helping people in need / seeing people at their worst really made me more empathetic " or something like that
no it like rewired a part of my brain so that there's just certain things i can't interact with / see / do etc without thinking about it in the spectrum of ems.
my main example is how like when choosing a place to live now and/or going to see other people. my first thoughts are always "is this place appropriately accessible to the emergency services" and the answer is usually, laughably, not at fucking all
I have crews like this
