The sun is setting in the hissing wastes, heat dancing on the horizon. Solas wipes his forehead with the cloth she embroided for him, lest sweat drops on her as she lays in his lap, reading. Var lath vir suledin, it shines in the red sun, golden thread on cream fabric.

He puts the cloth back, a small sigh, armor for his heart. She smiles. Ar lath ma, vhenan.

A Serious Game.

It was a pleasure to be invited to the Winter Palace, or so the silver haired elf thought. It finally gave him the chance to wear his uniform for situations based in Orlais, his armour consisting of something similar to what he would usual wear; his arms covered. The black he normally dressed in, replaced with White and the Golden decorations replaced with blue or red fabrics. A mask used to shield his face and his gauntlets replaced with what looked like a simple plain white glove, secretly a harsh leather, almost unbreakable. Anything to which would represent Tevinter, or his past, was replaced. No trace of snakes nor the origin of the city elf was given. It was in fact, a different, but nice change. Light, and odd... but nice.

Either way, he was not here to enjoy his new outfit, he was here on inquisition business; to make sure nothing bad would take place during their duties, Leliana’s orders, And sadly due to his previous run-ins with situations like the game... Lithaldoren was placed front and centre.

The elf despised being front and centre, not even able to speak to on-goers back in skyhold.. But if it was the place he was required to be, he would take his steps in pride, put on a fake smile behind the mask which showed such, let his eyes glisten in the chandelier light, his outfit flowing as he would walk confidentially around, allowing his onlookers to believe he was no mere servant, but a man of power. Not just a ‘knife-ear’. Not a slave nor servant.  An elf who understood this place, better than anybody within.

Keeping in mind however, he was there to assist the Inquisitor. Do nothing more than that, keep him safe and gather as much information as possible, hide the evidence which his party may have left around. Anything to keep them safe.

Carefully, as they walked in a line to the entrance of such a fine building; Lithaldoren spoke in a fine, hushed voice, regretting every aspect of his accent in such a place.  “Inquisitor. Are you ok? I just.. thought I would let you know, Leliana has sent us to keep an eye on everything. You have very little to worry about..”

Working on a story where your character hates your friend's character, while you are totally head over heels for friend's OC is actually pretty tough xD
