WHO DOES WHAT IN YOUR OTP (CHRISTMAS EDITION):

-Who wraps presents horribly and has to get help from the other: Kori actually seems like they’d be the best at crafts? Like I’m sure Sage tries very hard but she has Tia and Izzie to take over for her in Walt, and Baz is a spaz, so Kori is the one they beg for help if they need it -- and Kori probably helps Baz and gives Sage a hard time lol 

-Who excitedly wakes up their partner on Christmas morning: I feel like Christmas back in Gothel tower wasn’t like... really an exciting event? Idk if they like learned enough about Christmas traditions to get slightly more festive since they started school, though, but if they did Sage seems like the like vain, selfish type who would want everyone up super early so she could open presents immediately. 

-Who holds the mistletoe over the both of their heads: Sage is the slutty family member and Kori and Baz probably get second hand embarrassment from her trying to use mistletoe to get people to kiss her at school tbh.,

-Who sets up the christmas lights and who holds the ladder: Ummmm really I am sure they do not have lights at home?? Like where would they get them? But also none of the Gothels strike me as being super into strings of lights? Sage probably the most so but she’s not gonna take the time to put them up for herself so it’s probably a lose cause.  

-Who gets angry at little kids and tells them Santa isn’t real: Um... Kori stabilizes Sage’s mood even if she DID know that Santa wasn’t real, but she’s dumb and believes anything. And Baz is just like calm and nice and stuff. Kori is the “mean” one but they don’t actually hate people or like ruining things nearly as much as they pretend to so I’m sure kids are safe from learning that Santa is fake from the Gothels. 

-Who bails the other out of mall jail for telling kids Santa isn’t real: UM Kori would maybe be in mall jail for stealing a golf cart with their friend or like paint bombing Sage in the middle of a public place when Sage makes them mad? But honestly these three are such hermits that even that’s super unlikely, I don’t see any of them getting into mall jail at all.

Any girl hearing those words from the first boy they’d really ever truly liked should have been elated. It had been a long road to get to this point, for Sage to stop caring about her own image more than she cared about another person, for her to really understand how to care about somebody else more than she cared about herself... but she thought it had been worth it. That maybe Tia and Izzie, her better halves, weren’t the only ones that could get to have cute relationships and boys who adored them. That just because she was the dumb one to most people, or the slutty one to others, didn’t mean she couldn’t be happy like Kori or like Baz or like... everyone else but her, apparently.

But now Sage was hearing those words that were supposed to be magical for the very first time, and they weren’t filled with joy and happiness and butterflies going crazy in her stomach. They were just twinged with regret as Wayland hung his head, ashamed, and Sage tried her hardest not to cry. “You love me,” she repeated at a whisper, wishing that he was saying it as he swept her off her feet and made her feel like the happiest person in the universe. “But you can’t be with me because of Vivi.” 

She’d thought that his best friend had warmed up to her, that the tall, kind of scrawny but still smart and gorgeous younger girl might actually give Sage her approval, since she knew that meant so much to Wayland. But instead she’d done the opposite; she’d gone and said that seeing him with Sage hurt, and it made their friendship weird, and that she wasn’t going to ask him to choose but... by saying that, she’d kind of asked him to choose anyway. And he’d chosen her. He was always going to choose her, and Sage was just going to... deal with it, she guessed. What other choice did she have? 

“No, that’s -- um, that’s totes okay, but I’m kind of late to dance practice so I’ll like... see you around and stuff,” Sage lied, wondering why her heart felt so much heavier in Walt whenever she was sad than it ever did back home. Crying came so much easier here, and she didn’t want to let him see the tears start coming. She didn’t want the whole world to know that the first time Sage Gothel decided to give her heart away, all she got was rejection.
