The Book of Vanitas!! ⌛️

I recently made this and had so much fun doing it! It's a 3D-printed Book of Vanitas! I got the print file off of Etsy! I actually made this for my dear friend, @bookdragonwrites!

I was a little skeptical when I started painting, I really thought I messed up because of how weird the blue paint came out. But, I realized it was just the type of spray paint I got. Haha.

Doesn't that blue paint look good??? The construction was fun! I originally bought little gems to replace the 3D-printed one, but I ended up using it anyway and painted the little design on it myself. :)

I actually used skewers for the hinges 😂 I didn't trust the filament to be strong enough! I think I did good. I also used it to attach the swinging part to the Book!

(Is that... Hatsune Miku?! Yes. It is.)

Anyway, I'm really proud of how this project turned out! Let me know what you all think!

This is all unpainted, 3D-printed via the Galactic Armory pattern. Used an Ender3 3D printer (since it’s super inexpensive but very hardy. It’s an amazing printer for someone who isn’t used to 3D printing yet)

Only the helmet and left handplate are sanded. The goggles were finished, but the arm snapped off so they’ll need to be reprinted (a soddering iron couldn’t fix it, so I’d rather it be reprinted to save its durability and appearance)

This is me in it, plus a bonus rotation animation I did to try and help my muscle memory (and get a feel for anything that might need to be fixed in the Galactic Armory pattern). 3D model reference found at Cults3d.com (The Bad Batch Tech helmet model)

I’ll hopefully be posting my progress on here! I’m super new to cosplaying so this is quite the undertaking for what’s basically a first project 💀 So much thanks to my dad for helping me with this I could not do it without him

A company bought the company that made the Benchy 3d print model and are now trying to enforce the no remixes license and charge for people who make remixes of it. Companies buying something they don't understand insane community with recognition and killing it... sigh...

I recently acquired some 0.2mm nozzles for my 3d printer, with the hopes of being able to print half decent minis and well, let me show you the results

Underside's a bit scuffed up tho. I used supports, not sure how to fix it. Any 3d printer people got any advice?

Some 3d primt projects i did. I used half purple and half black on the gengar which gave him a 5 oclock shadow lol. And the action figure is named scarlett.
