The original Lava Reef Zone from Sonic & Knuckles doesn’t contain any loops. When bringing the zone back in Sonic Mania, the team looked towards Sonic 3′s Endless Mine from the Competition Mode for inspiration. 

In fact the loops are the same size across both iterations, despite the competition mode having micro-sized versions of the characters. Most likely the smallest loops in the series history.

So, was anybody gonna tell me that the Classic remix of Escape from the City used the Endless Mine leitmotif, or was I supposed to find that out from Bentley Jones' remix???

This guy cracked the code on the signature feature of Sonic music.

Endless Mine always stuck with me as a kid, but it never made me want to cry out of sadness, specifically. It hit some nerve that made me feel nostalgic and that everything was going to be OK, and I wanted to cry out of peace or joy. And he dissected that phenomenon in this video.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that got emotional over that song growing up. That makes me happy that other people were moved by it, too.

Continuum Anomaly Mine

Ed eccomi qui alle 4 di mattina a postare roba. Torno a casa verso l'una e mi dico "vabbeh accendo il pc e inizio il video per il remix". Da "inizio" è finita a "completo". Solito.

Il problema è che tra 3 ore dovrei essere in piedi... ;D

Da sempre una delle mie traccie preferite di Sonic 3 è Endless Mine ("infondo a me Hydrocity... Piace solo per la musicaaa" (cit.)), era inevitabile che prima o poi ci mettessi gli occhi sopra per farne un remix! è da un pò che ci lavoro a dire il vero, sono stato molto occupato a fare le solite cose (sapete no, corse clandestine, cercare il santo graal per usarlo come coppa da gelato in casa e sfottere gli ospiti, fare tiro al bersaglio contro le vecchie usando le caccole, hackerare matrix in modo che esca la scritta scemo chi legge a random...).

Stò collassando. Prendetevi il video e non rompete i coglioni. Se si decide a caricare in tempi decenti... Se prendo un funzionario Telecom e gli infilo un palo della luce su per il culo dite che me l'aumentano un pò la banda in upload?
