Last night I was lying awake, mentally giving church history figures funny nicknames, all using the same format:

-Joey S

-Marty H

-Ollie C

-Parley P—wait no, dangit

see, what you ran into here is the breaking of a pattern in which names which didn't already end with an -ey sound were given an -ey ending. The solution when you encounter a name that Does end with -ey is to reverse the pattern, and give it a completely different ending. You have to call him Parliament

Today my coworker asked “is this fit good? Be honest” and my other coworker said “yeah it’s tight.” When he looked at me, I nodded in agreement and said “like unto a dish.” They had no idea what that meant, but I thought I’d share with you how hilarious I am.

I know you like transformers (I know nothing about them myself but your art always makes me smile—I include this parenthetically because it’s not really relevant), so I thought I’d tell you that a kindergartener I work with is surprisingly good at drawing them for his age. He frequently asks me to draw with him and walks me through how to draw them, step by step, detail by detail. I know it’s random but I think it’s wonderful.
