I like how you think Marvel and Ragnarok are two different entities, that Ragnarok can just ignore everything to be its own thing. No, it’s a film Marvel made. Just like the first 2 Thor movies. It should, by all accounts, be in line with them. That’s the point of a cinematic universe.
If Avengers2 is blamed for ignoring IronMan3, so should Ragnarok be for crapping on Thor’s lore. The director does not get a free pass to mock Jane because Marvel cannot respect their female artists. That’s dumb. If he gave even half a crap about Thor’s character, he’d know how important Jane is to him. And not some throwaway joke.
Besides, both the feminist director and the feminist producer on record called her “not Thor’s equal”, boring, and what not. So it’s not just Marvel wronging Jane and the poor director is all innocent. He is to be blamed equally for her treatment.
