A/N: I don’t feel like writing but I can’t ruin my time plan either. I am going to add another episode between this one and the Gala because I noticed we didn’t see any Bruce and Reader alone moments.
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Entire Series | Masterlist | Part 5
Bruce placed another kiss on your lips, only parting away after you pushed him five times. “We’re gonna be late for dinner!” You scolded him.
“Fuck the dinner, I want you for dinner instead.” He had pinned you against the wall outside your apartment building, holding you close to him. Every now and then, his fingers would brush against your ring to remind himself that this was real, you were with him.
“How about you get me as dessert if you behave now?” You offered, massaging his broad shoulders. He sighed, shoulders sinking, he was giving in. “Fine… whatever my beautiful fiancée says.”
You smirked and kissed him, your tongues tangling with each other until you were breathless. Once you pulled away, both of you were panting. “L-let’s go before it’s too late.”
Bruce nodded in agreement and started to walk you, with his hand on your waist, towards his waiting luxury car. He came to pick you up with a different car everyday, Dick claimed it was because he never had a chance to use all of his cars.
The ride there was quiet. Bruce held your hand the whole time, only letting go to shift the gear and holding it again. It was peaceful, the only sound was the slight classic music you insisted on playing.
Once at the Manor, you left the car, biting your lips to hide your obvious grin. You were engaged to the man you love.
You walked in hand in hand, Alfred greeting you at the door. “Welcome home, Master Bruce, Miss.” he gave you a nod and you smiled at him, he didn’t show any emotion on his face but his eyes were shining at the sight of you two together- he was happy too. “Thank you, Alfred.” You smiled at him and walked towards the dinning room with Bruce.
The rest of the family was already here, leaving on the table only the spot at the very end and next to it for you and Bruce. The kids gave you their greetings, Jason actually gave you a small smile and Damian addressed you as “Mrs. Wayne”
You felt weird- Damian saw you as a mother figure despite having his own mother and never treated you bad, he was a mature kid who wanted his dad to be happy.
Bruce pulled out your chair and you sat down gracefully, smirking at him. “Thank you, kind gentleman.”
He smirked back at you. “Only the best for my precious lady.” Tim made a gagging sound with Steph and Dick elbowed Tim’s stomach. Cassandra pinched Stephanie.
Once everyone was settled, Bruce cleared his throat to gather the attention of his family.
“We went through a lot together, had good days, bad days, days we wished we were dead and days we wished someone else was alive.” Bruce gave Jason a meaningful glance which he replied with a smirk- if this wasn’t an important speech, he would’ve done a dead-joke, you knew him good enough to know this.
“I can’t claim to be the best father, son or partner, I am far from it with my flaws but I promise you all to try my best to be the best possible version of myself.” He glanced at you, his eyes softening before turning back to his kids. You took his hand beneath the table.
“Today, we are gathered here because we are celebrating a new member to our family- I was so afraid that you would feel guarded with her when I first introduced her to you, but you seem to love her almost as much as I do.” Now he turned to you, addressing you.
“I can’t promise I will be the best husband, but I can vow that I will love you, cherish you, protect you and stay loyal to you till my last breath. You are everything to me, love, so please, I am pleading you, bear with me.”
You smiled at him and pressed a long kiss on his knuckles. “The road might be a bit bumpy, but I know we will make I through together,” you turned to the rest of the table. “All of us.”
Steph, Tim, Jay and Dick were the first people to start clapping, soon joined by Duke, Barbs, Cass, Kate, Luke and finally Damian and Alfred, their eyes filled with happiness.
They clapped for far too long- they were going overboard and Bruce had to glare at them to stop them.
Steph giggled. “Can I come with you wedding dress shopping!”
Barbs nodded. “I would love to join tag along as well.”
Cass chimed in quietly, still not used to talking in full sentences. “Came testing together?”
Duke and Dick were arguing over who the best man would be.
“Obviously Luke!” Duke insisted, Mr. Fox wouldn’t be able to attend because he would be overseeing Gotham during the wedding and Duke was sure his son should be the best man.
Dick shook his head defensively. “No way! Bs best friend is Clark!”
Luke took a sip of his drink. “I should oversee security instead.”
They were planing like it was their wedding and not Bruce and yours.
“I will be by my new mother’s side during the ceremony.” Damian’s words made your heart swell and eyes tear up. Kate teased him about it.
“Now you have two moms, Dami, it will be fun.”
Alfred was refreshing the empty drinks.
Tim was planing the photographer. “Maybe I should be the ones taking the photos.”
A collective “No!” Rose up from the table, causing you and Bruce chuckled secretly.
You were happy that you were part of this family. They were chaotic and unpredictable but they were family- they didn’t judge or expect anything in return. Living with no family all this years and then ending up with a family like this made your heart do funny things.
The kids weren’t the only ones that love you as much as Bruce.
Characters/Pairings: Anarka Couffaine, Luka Couffaine, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, Tom Dupain; Luka Couffaine/Marinette Dupain-Cheng
Rating: Teen & Up
Summary: Luka and Marinette are planning a family dinner to announce their engagement. Anarka asks if she can bring dessert – which would have been fine, if only she hadn’t brought that dessert…
Author’s Notes/Warnings: There was an Insta reel about a brother and sister throwing down on what dictates the flavor of a cake (the actual cake or the icing covering it), and plunnies gonna plun? 😂 Enjoy some family blending silliness. 😂
“Chocolate Cake”
It all started with a ring.
Well.
Technically it started with a cake, but the cake wouldn’t have been an issue if not for the dinner, which was only happening because of the ring.
The ring Luka had offered to Marinette on…well.
If their families asked, it was a perfectly respectable proposal. He’d serenaded her before going down on bended knee, where he’d poured his heart out and begged her to finally make a (mostly) honest man out of him.
