They are mostly mcyt, but I also have some oc and other stuffs :)

I just had a BANGER IDEA

but you’re gonna have to read a little first—

in Afterlife Smp (a series where players had 10 lives, and every time they died (or retooled) they’d get a new origin) Lizzie’s sixth origin was The Enigma

now, The Enigma had a whole HOST of terrifying and really really cool powers (and a few weaknesses)

For example, upon sneaking, an Enigma is capable of seeing all players even through walls. They also have permanent night vision.

They can teleport behind a player

They can make a clone of themself, and are are invisible while the clone is alive. (If original or clone are damaged, the clone will dissapate and the Enigma will become visible again)

They can phase through blocks and become somewhat transparent

But their most insane ability, is the fact that any living thing caught in their gaze will be inflicted with Slowness and Weakness, then Blindness and Nausea, and finally, will drop dead

As for weaknesses, Enigmas are hated, meaning they can’t tame any mob and villagers won’t trade with them.

But their most notable weakness is that they cannot kill with weapons, only being able to kill with their fists or their stare

And the interesting things don’t stop at powers at weaknesses—the description for the Enigma origin is as follows: “Mystery, puzzles and trickery... Enigmas make people live in fear of themselves and question their own sanity.”

and, if you’ve been thinking like me, and noticing the words I’ve bolded…you might be considering this the final nail in the coffin…because Enigmas sound awful similar to Watchers.

And that’s where my new headcanon/theory comes in.

What if, Enigmas are failed, corrupted or exiled Watchers?

What if the Watchers tried to make Lizzie one of them…and failed

(Perhaps because she was already else…)

goin through a rough patch in life rn and everytime I see you be excited about asks that makes me a little happier. So here ya go. An ask :) maybe if I do nice things for people life will get better. So here’s an invitation to rant about whatever lore thing or au is your current in this moment obsession

awww ❤️❤️❤️❤️ [: Thing's will get better! They always do. Anything that makes you even a bit happier you should do, you deserve to be as happy as possible. I'm going through... some stuff, too. but the fact people go out of their way to send me stuff and to ask me to rant about whatever I want makes me really really happy and does help a lot.

I don't really have any super big lore rants in mind right now... so instead you can have some sillier stitched worlds stuff!!!

One thing I randomly decided on is making Enigma and Xelqua (who are different characters than Lizzie and Grian if you aren't familiar with the au) like. roommates basically, it's very very funny.

They live together in a little place in the Void. Enigma keeps "redecorating" (warping and breaking space) their house, Xelqua can't be bothered to fix it anymore. She bothers him about using his Watcher abilities to spy on people (mostly Joel) every five seconds. Xelqua disapears to do Super Important Watcher Stuff™️ every now and then, sometimes for a very very long time. But Enigma can never tell if it's been a few hours or centuries because she doesn't believe in time. They both threaten to eviscerate the other with their powers on the daily and later are snuggled up on the couch having movie night (movie night is just Watching players do stuff through Xelqua's eyes). One day Xelqua drags Mumbo into their house (a little part of his soul that's still Grian remembered him and went "friend!!! :D" so he Grabbed him) and Mumbo's so lost, so confused, and gonna go insane and Enigma's just realky excited to have another roommate and is trying to have a tea party with him.

the worst thing about rewriting smth from 2022 is that it also has its own charm, and the rewrite is more dark and has less of that 'babys first fanfiction' vibe.

Exposure to the void has had long term consequences for Lizzie, and it is affecting her afterlives. As time goes on it is causing her lives and personalities within those lives to become more erratic and brief, with the enigma being the latest result.She is now a hodgepodge of the lives that came before her, both something completely new and something long dead. She is unknowable, unpredictable, and not entirely real hence the disappearing.  I like to think that for everyone else, no one has actually ever seen her walk before. She’s just stood in one place, and then you look away, and now she’s somewhere else.  She answers every question with “perhaps” and everyone wants her dead for it

man. i genuinely love enigma!lizzie so much.

like- her being an amalgamation of her past lives, each of it's characteristics and traits being combined into one life form. you can tell that she's a mystery to those who are unfortunate to even get a glimpse of her. her stare alone will kill you, and it will make it a slow one.

she's not supposed to be here. i personally like to think that the reason she was reborn as a enigma, a combination of all her past lives, is that they were all so short and they didn't get to truly live out their dreams. so, after so many losses, all of the resentment and anger came back as a beast, a creature of the Void, a thing that should not be here.

it's such a cool concept and origin imo and im having so much brainrot over it!!!
