ENOUGH OF THIS NONSENSE
Ah yes, creating original content feels so much more satisfying than engaging in fandoms. No one will tell me I got the canon wrong, no one will laugh at me for not being up-to-date with the newest releases. No one will humiliate me for not understanding where's the plot going. No one can make me feel uninformed nor make me doubt my sanity just because I missed a detail. I've had enough of it. With my original content I'm the one who gets the last laugh. And the first one too, actually.
The one downside of original content is that apparently no one else is interested in it the way I've seen people interested in their fandoms. But to be honest, even I am no longer interested in my own creations the way I used to be interested in my old fandoms. It's gone. I still stay in my old fandoms mostly for the nostalgia, because remembering how I felt back then makes me feel that a bit again.
Oh the world is so so big, how can I hope for anyone to notice my art? Even doing decent work I can't expect popularity, what I'm doing is just too far from what average fandom people like. And even if someone was looking for exactly the kind of story I'm making, they probably won't find it because other, more mainstream stories will appear first in search results.
What I'm creating is basically the kind of story I would absolutely love as a 14-years-old. It honestly feels like I'm still 14. Or maybe I somehow came back after being stuck in my mindset at this adult age, and now I'm looking for another way. Or more like another point of view.
