What's your favorite femslash Junko ships?

I love this trend of giving me a character and then just letting me ride out my favorite ships. It means some repetition but thinking about ships I love multiple times is just a price I'm willing to pay. Eventually I should make some sort of masterpost. But That's A Lot Of Work

Mahiru...something REALLY compels me about the parallel relationship they have with their talents and the roles they fill. The love a camerawoman has for her muse. The love a model has for the person who captures her image. The person who envisions the propaganda to the person who films it, the person who films the propaganda to the one who stars in it.

Sayaka!! I could talk about them a LOT, but the tl;dr is Life in public eye + what we do for fame + what we do for beauty + connection to The Audience (love from Sayaka, hatred from Junko) + fame as part of a group vs in isolation and the different ways that fucks a person up + child stardom + varying levels of Willing/Happy To Kill. They could make each other worse ❤️

I can't tell you why Junko/Hina endears me but it does. Potential toxic romance involving Hina for once? Inherent rarepair nature? Hard to say. They're cute though

Very random question but you've talked a few times about ships between Junko and the SDR2 girls so I wanted to ask which one is your favorite (if you're into any of them specifically). I'm a big Junkan and Hiyoshima fan personally.

I'm a SUCKER for Junkan. I think it really showcases the exact brand of toxicity that Junko ships are (to me) all about, and it does so front and center in canon. Mikan in despair is actually one of the reasons I most struggle to reconcile SDR2 and DR3, because the way Mikan expressed their relationship is SO personalized. The fact that we never get Junko's POV on it makes it all the more fascinating. Did she genuinely care for Mikan, but only know how to express it in manipulative & destructive ways? Did she view Mikan as a pawn? We'll never know! And that fucks.

My runner up is Mahiru. POV your girlfriend killed for you and you gave up all of your morals to save her, and she died for you anyway, and a beautiful snake of Eden whispers in your ear - don't you want it to mean something? don't you want to make them pay? you weren't at fault. how could you be? it was for love. it was for love. come here, poor baby, i know it was for love. let me show you how much better you can do. let me show you how much worse you can be.

Like 60% of the fun of this ship is just imagining how the hell these two would meet. Was Jack trying to kill someone and Chiaki 'I won't let any more murders happen' tried to threw down? Is it that one scene in UTDP where Chiaki tries to set up puzzle games and Jack asks if she has any dating sims? Did Chiaki sit down Jack and Byakuya to give them the He's Just Not That Into You speech? It boggles the mind. The odd couple

This is for sure a ship where Jack attaches barnacle-like to Chiaki's hip and continually pesters her until Chiaki just kind of gets used to Jack being there. A rare Bert and Ernie dynamic with women

I actually think Jack would be INCREDIBLE at fighting games, if only for the metajokes about UDG. Jack and Chiaki have an ongoing Smash Bros rivalry

As all Junko/SDR2 girl ships, the angle of "Evil WLW Is...Kinda Hot" remains a constant presence

Junko and Mahiru have a particular relationship as a Fashionista and a Photographer that I think is really unique among the remnants. One has to wonder where Junko's belief in the power of propaganda and idea to broadcast the killing game came from. There is no photographer without a model. There are no models without someone to look at them. There is no propaganda without the people who create it. This is a process delicately passed from hand to hand, behind the scenes. And it will kill people.

First batch of my fav class 77/Junko ships because I have thoughts. If you’re wondering why Junko’s preferences and feelings shift depending on the relationship-- it’s because she fundamentally changes who she is as a person depending on who she’s with. Hope this helps!
