Whumpee who has been... followed by something their entire lives. Some presence, a being, an entity. Nobody else can see it, and Whumpee can go months without noticing it, but it's always there. And it's not friendly. It sometimes looks at Whumpee from the darkness, glowing eyes before vanishing, it whispers cruel things, sometimes even hurts Whumpee when things are bad.
Whumpee is terrified of it. But there is nothing they can do and nobody who believes them.
One day, Whumpee gets kidnapped. They think they're done for. Whumper enters the room they're kept, and approaches, their bad intends clear. They grab Whumpee, and Whumpee screams.
Suddenly, Whumper is thrown back. When Whumpee looks up, Whumper is not moving. They seem dead.
In the corner of the room, in the shadows, Whumpee sees familiar glowing eyes, and hears the whispering voice.
"run"
Whumpee does, and manages to get to freedom.
