The Search For Lost Supplies
(OC: Date [15-09-2016] Day[Thursday])
Today’s visit to the infirmary turned up an opportunity to improve relations with the locals. One the Tauren mentioned that they had to abandon supplies because their convoy was attacked by harpies. I had offered our aid in getting the convoy back.
Once I returned to base, I gathered everybody up and that is what we tried to do. We moved up a mountain pass to discover a cave with some rather large cats in it. Unfortunately one of the trolls scared them so I was forced to give the order to attack before they went for members of the warband. The fight was easy enough. It was only six large animals. Unfortunately I lost my tabard and undershirt when one of the beasts jumped on top of me and clawed at my chest. The beast also cut open my flesh where the arm guards separate from the main body protection of my armour and I bled all down my sides.
It wasn’t too bad however.
Unfortunately the fight had taken longer than expected and it had gotten dark. I was also informed that harpy’s magic were strongest at night. I had to make a choice to either continue forward or return at a lighter hour. I chose to return. The supplies would help relations but the lives of the warband still take president. Especially as it is only a few hours to rest before it is light out. So the mission was a failure but with good cause. Once we returned I tended to my wounds and cleaned my armour of blood.
Part way through this task, Gurgosh had taken issue with the Magister. Claimed he showed no respect to those in the warband and even questioned what he does other than advise the shade. I have rarely ever seen Sylvarys act disrespectful to a warband member and even then I would have a hard time pointing out an incident. The last time being his comments about Aelathdrin’s clothing choices. But even then he apologized. Gurgosh lost his composure and tried to attack the Magister. He didn’t succeed apart from a small cut on his face. He then stormed off and Graularr made a ridiculous comment about me sulking. I don’t sulk. So after that incident I got cleaned up and noticed the Magister had finished his conversation with Elder Sarues. So I sat down next to him and noticed the mark was still on his head. Seeing it reminded me of the comment he made about his hair which amused me so I wondered if I could use that as an excuse to heal it. It was just a little cut but he isn’t deserving of more cuts. He reminded me of his dislike of help though he almost seemed ready to accept it. It didn’t bother me in the end that he didn’t. But then he also had other duties I was keeping him from.
It seems for now I will have to settle with the Hordes Shadow tabard. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but my Blood Knight represents so much more. Means so much more. I will need to get a hold of a replacement at some point. My current is shredded beyond repair. For now I will sleep and think about today’s mission and how it went. Even if the mission was unsuccessful I would still say it ended with the best result for the situation. But there is always improvement to be made. And I shall find that improvement and make it.
