how do all of the Zelda's feel about well they respective link
Fantastic question! Their relationships are pretty varied, so this is gonna get a bit long.
Cloudy: they’re childhood friends and dating and in love 🥰 also, as a footnote, Groose is practically a platonic third, at this point. Cloudy and Zelda’s bond was tested after the events of Skyward Sword, struggling with the consequences of Hylia’s memories and their experiences on the surface irreversibly changing them, but they talk, and they make it work. They’re currently getting the people of Skyloft to explore the surface, but they’ve been avoiding talks of moving there, so far.
Forge: he knows two Zeldas, and they’re both dear friends. Forge has known MC Zelda for as long as he can remember, and though he’s not seen her for a while, he’d still trust her with his life. FSA Zelda met him later, when they were about 13 or so, and while they’re good enough friends to argue and butt heads at times without doubting their bond, it’s still a more formal relationship than what Forge had with MC Zelda.
Mask: Mask would’ve avoided the princess for the rest of his life after getting Ganondorf sent away, if it was up to him, but she is too sharp for that and made it royal decree that he has to see her at least once a year, so they’re legally friends. He’ll never admit it, but it’s been good for him to be around someone who unconditionally believes him when he speaks of all he’s seen, of a dark alternate future and the land with the falling moon and the time war. She’s probably the one who knows him best in all of Hyrule, and he knows her best in return, and yet it’s not a super close friendship, just a bond of trust and understanding.
Farmer: He’s pretty distant from the queen. They share a unique understanding of the Twilight Incursion, but the closest they get is the occasional meeting where she tries to convince him to train the knights. They share a mutual respect for each other, but that’s about it.
Commander: They are probably best described as work friends. They have a habit of going to each other for advice even over small things, and shockingly, Commander is more often the one scolding the queen. In another world, they might have gotten into a marriage of convenience.
Pirate: Amicably divorced. They still love each other dearly, it’s just not romantic. They bicker, they fight alongside each other, and they are still best friends. Tetra just thinks it’s funny to impose an ex-husband tax on Pirate, and Pirate thinks it’s equally funny to commit tax evasion. He mostly handles exploring the edges of New Hyrule these days but stops by Castle Town sometimes to help Tetra out with running the new country and other such things.
Piper: They’re friends, and they make an effort to see each other even now that the adventure is over. Piper has a massive crush on the princess, but he hasn’t gathered up the courage to confess, yet. Besides, she’s busy—she’s a young ruler, and she’s taken up sparring with the knights, inspired by the journey they had together. As for how she feels, Piper has no idea. They’re quite fond of each other and tend to take time to sneak over to visit each other every now and then.
Collector: Their relationship is a strange one. They’ve kind of secretly admired each other from afar for years now, and distance does make the heart grow fonder, but right now, they’re in a bit of a weird spot. Collector hasn’t gotten over his shipwreck, nor has he shared his experiences regarding Koholint with anyone, and it’s made him colder and more distant than Zelda remembers, and yet, on the rare occasion they get to meet, he still takes time to show the kindness of the boy who saved her from the dungeon all those years ago. She’s worried for him, these days.
Artisan: They’re buddies, they’re cousins, and they get along like a house on fire. They’re very similar in a lot of ways, especially when it comes to enjoying nice things and being far too willing to fight dirty. “Catch them doing vigilante justice together in a Denny’s parking lot” kind of energy. Add Styla to the mix, and you’ve got the cattiest trio in the world.
Scout: He’s also got two Zeldas, with which he has very different relationships. The first Zelda, the queen, is stern with him but well-meaning. She’s doing whatever is necessary to keep the country running, and Scout does his hero duties faithfully to lighten her load in whatever way he can. She’s bullied him into literacy, and she’s bullied him into teaching her survival skills, but he can bite back just as sharply, when he feels like it. As for the princess, the one who slept for a long time, she’s far more ladylike but just as spirited and headstrong, and that’s why she is insists on being the one to court Scout instead of the other way around. Scout is far too flustered by the romantic advancements of such a pretty, smart, and sweet woman to even think about arguing, and besides, it makes her happy. She practically swept him off his feet.
Archer: Whatever he’s got with Zelda, it’s unlabeled. Is it platonic, romantic, some secret third option? They certainly don’t know. They live together and share a bed literally and fight for each other, sure, but that feels like a side note for them. All they know is that they care deeply about each other. There’s also something similar going on with Archer and Sidon, and yet somehow Yona seems to understand whatever that is far more than either of them. The rest of Hyrule calls the whole mess “whatever’s going on there”.
