So the creature the M9 just ran into is called a Bodak. It has a feature called "Gaze of Orcus" or “Death Gaze” which is, uh.....not good.

Y'all, they might not be crazy about this being the center of exandria, not in just the physical prime material plane sense, but in the planar system as a whole. This shade area they’re in screams Shadowfell, and the creature Matt brought in at the end is a native of that plane. Add to that the crazy Heaven’s Falls going upward, the existence of dinosaurs, I need to re listen to Matt’s description of the islands to remember more right now. I wouldn’t be surprised if there's a connection point to the Feywilds, and that's why the Traveller chose Rumblecusp. I wonder also if the reason Vokodo (who lets be real is a green or emerald dragon) chose the island to be their domain was because of this center point.
