I love this fucking game.
Epic Chef Review
Epic Chef looked like a game that would tickle my fancy. It’s a cooking-focused game composed of farm sim-ing, a dash of Iron Chef cooking battles, and crafting. So imagine tossing Stardew Valley, Battle Chef Brigade, and Minecraft into a stand mixer. The resulting batter is Epic Chef. The game is quite a fun experience out of the oven, but it’s not one without some faults; it’s still a fun…

More Epic Chef
I realize most people that play Epic Chef are commenting in the Steam Community Forum and the Epic Chef Wiki but erm, here’s my recipes that are A++++. Will continue to update if I find a better recipe. (This is really for me to keep track of my recipes in case I lose them.)
The soph recipe is from someone from the forum but the other two are mine. If anyone has a higher Spirit recipe than the current one, please message me!
Tips!
I’ve...gotten addicted to another game. Erm, will I ever actually complete a game? Who knows... Up on the block is the new game from Team 17 (creators of Overcook and My Time At Portia (which are high on my list of replay games), Epic Chef!
I’m not going to summarize, lots of handy sites that give you the basic tips, here’s some pain sweat and tears of being stupid tips:
1. Tomatoes.
Of course you need the other ingredients but once you have a decent amount stored away (in the very limited space storage boxes), tomatoes is the way to go. One of the townspeople wants 15 tomatoes and pays a decent amount. Close to the entrance from your villa (down the bridge, on the first left, in the same alley as the merchant that sells seeds). Compared to the other side quests that pay money, this is the quickest one (everything else you have to run around searching for and without a mount...is a waste of time).
2. THE COWS.
Don’t be like me. Be better. Separate a decent spot (with fences) for what will be the cow spot. The cow summoner takes up space. The cows will DEVOUR your crops. The Animal X (chops up your animals to meat products) takes up spaceeeeeee. Once you have the bed, Jesus will let you expand your farm (right of you as you exit the house, near the waterfall). That spot will be enough. Just remember. Summon the cows in the fenced area. Do not try to coral them from not eating your crops by pushing them. Does not work. ( -_- )
Also fence up the Animal X, cows that wander there will die without you knowing. But it’s a much less annoying issue, just organization.
3. THE TOKEN
I lost three times trying to get that stupid thing. Once you get the sauce machine up (which you can build after you get your chef license) and get the right sauce, you can fight with whatever recipe. What you need to practice is *Aroma*. Before you collect the Red, Blue and Yellow balls (exact terms for sure) while cooking, leave it in the pan for (very few) seconds. You’ll see these little aroma things hovering around the same area as the balls. TOSS THE INGREDIENT. (I use a controller so that’s Button A.) Do not let it burn. There is a limit to the aroma. Do not let the balls disappear (no points). Once you have a decent grasp, as long as your first dish is above 15 Aroma, you’re set. USE THE SAUCE for the first dish. The second round, DO NOT get Aroma. You want to be the second dish tasted. Guaranteed win.
That’s it. That’s already the first few mins/hours of play? It is initially slow going but very funny and really great at slowly revealing different parts of the gameplay. Have fun~
